What was your impression of the theatrics? Over the top? I really didn't like the messages he was sending...
yeah, it was like he wanted to shock people. I really do not get to hung up on the theatrics. I mean Lady gaga and all them are strange to me, but someone likes them.
I think he was being pretty obvious with his statement, but he is a theatrical person and big on show. I just think the style is not everyone cup of tea.
i loved him on ai. i did NOT like this. I think his problem is strayng to far from the types of songs he did on AI for his first album.
And I think doing this show with this act for the AMAs right before his CD release will hurt his sales, becaues he just sounded bad and it was in bad taste imo.

I must have missed some things. I was not watching totally when he was on because I did not like the song. What happened? Are we talking about the costumes?
They have it on perez hilton . com and I'm sure it is on you tube. I haven't watched the whole thing, but it was pitchy, simulated oral sex (edited out for you west coast peeps), guy on guy makeout, giving the finger... I don't think it was about costumes ;)
It wasn't even the costumes. I can handle half naked performers, and even expect that on the AMAs, but his act was like a B grade s&m skit, with bad acting, bad dance moves, and bad singing. I guess I can appreciate that he was going for "shock and awe" to the tune of Madonna rolling all over a stage in a wedding dress singing "Like a Virgin", but I really felt like Adam's performance was amateurish and crossed the line from art to trash.

according to a few sites I read this morning. That, and J Lo's fall was edited out as well.
More than even being disgusting and crude, I just thought he was terrible. He sounded terrible, and I don't think the song is any good. I thought it was horrible.
