my oldest son is so excited - his high schools football team is undefeated.  They went to the semi state game last night and won.  He got the qb to autograph his sweatshirt number1.gif

it's fun seeing all those excited kids.

I felt like a grandma.gif

I dropped him and a friend off.  Came home and did parent duties and went back and parked in the lot at our designated meeting spot for the last quarter.

When did I get to be so old??

Double good news!

Glen did take the kids to visit with his parents so I get some ME-time.

Also, Glen called to tell me that his mom said that Aunt Lisa had already started planning menus and stuff for Christmas to be at her house this year.

Woo-hoo!!!!!

I'm still working on decluttering and organizing but now there's no rush.

Hiya!

This morning I ran a 5k. I hate to run so I do this one once a year--The Turkey Trot. I broke 29 minutes which I was very pleased about. Then to Braydon's hockey and then open skating with Kaylin in her full hockey gear. Too cute!! Tonight we're going to visit my BFF who just had a baby. Tomorrow hockey and then our niece's baptism.

Hi!

I didn't really have any plans for this weekend.

Glen was going to take the kids to his parents' house today, and I was going to stay home and work on decluttering.

I think it's our turn to have Glen's family here for Christmas. Everyone lives nearby so no one would be staying here but I'd still have to clean, organize, prepare food, etc.

Anyway, the kids talked Glen into putting up our Christmas lights and other outside decorations so that took all morning. Now I think it's too late for them to go visit with their grandparents. Boo. Glen's parents are going to the casino (like they do every single weekend).

I did manage to shovel out Henry's pit (room) while they were all outside but I have so much more to do.

i'm sure i've asked you this before - do they go to tunica?

My weekend plans are to clean and decorate for christmas. If I can get the tree up today Im also going to try to convince dh to have people over tommorrow.

My parents and sister get here monday and well do christmas with the kids while they are here so htats why I have to decorate.

I also need to start a packing list for San diego next week. We cant stay any extra time since dh has to work that weekend now.

I REALLY REALLY need to come up with a christmas present for dh.

we are going to my teaching partner's wedding reception tonight. they got married in punta cana 11/7, but tonight they celebrate back home.

today i went to target, mcd's (drive thru for kids), bj's, ulta and bb&b. i could have shot myself right in the middle of bb&b b/c i was so freaking aggravated with my kids.

that's what i get for leaving everything to the last minute when matt needed to go to finish winterizing the boat today.

the only black heels i own are strappy open shoes and my toes are totally ghetto. i txt'd him and BEGGED him to get home early enough for me to get a pedi before we go. it's getting late, so i'm starting to think it's not going to happen. we need to leave here around 6:15 and it's 3:15 now.

:sigh:

Yes, they do. Fitzgerald's usually, I think.

They live in Olive Branch, Mississippi so it's not far at all.

morning everyone! what's on the agenda today?
i'm trying to think of something i can bake to bring to TG at my MILs (in the cape, so it has to be transferrable - prob just some cookies).
i am supposed to go into work today but i already feel like that's not gonna happen ;)
C had a tantrum to end all tantrums this morning at 545am re: a granola bar...
and i think my parents are coming over today (YAY!!) - wanna get a workout in there somehow too, and i'm so ready to polish off my christmas list.
i'm also in the market for a new set of dishes - has anyone seen anything good?

kel, what style dishes are you looking for?

we have mikasa that we got when we got married and they have held up SO great.  idt we've even broken one yet.

we have the french countryside: Mikasa French Countryside 45-Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 8

they are a nice cross between casual and formal so they never look out of place on the table, kwim?

anyway, i'd recommend mikasa. :)

so, matt fell off the back of the boat yesterday when he was winterizing it.

apparently he landed right on his butt.

he's in quite a lot of pain but he won't go get x-rays.

i hope he didn't seriously hurt himself.

thankfully he's off from work all week, so he can recuperate.

Good morning!  I am suppose to be finishing packing this morning and then we are off to see my mom.  Unfortunately dh is still sounding pretty congested and not sure if he is really up to this.  I am going to keep packing and hope for the best.

Muffy how are you feeling these days?

Kelly, cookies are always good.  You could always make some pumpkin cookies to be fesmilestive.

Sonya, are you doing anything fun today?

those are super nice.  i love them.  i have a set by calvin klein right now and they are totally chipping (it's been like 7 yrs though).  they are PLAIN. i'm really tired of them.  i like plain white a lot, but i think i might look for something colorful, since my kitchen is sorta....i love it, dont get me wrong, but it needs some color :)

i'll look at the mikasa line for sure, thanks.

I actually have those too, and I agree.  I also like them because you can mix them with other dishes too.

April, I hope Matt starts feeling better soon.  That sounds painful!

thanks girls.  i guess i'll know how he is when he drags himself out of bed.  emily woke me at 6:45 screaming the words to "grand ol' flag" from the toilet.  lovely.  of course that woke jake so we've been up a while.  :sigh:

and how CRAZY that we have the same dishes! :)

Good Morning.

I'm supposed to go to the city with my mom, sister & some friends of the family. We do it every year - used to be to see Marshall Field's christmas windows. Then Macy's bought Field's and .. no more windows no

Notice I said supposed to go?

Mikey was up half the night sick. Throwing up. Dan was up with him so that was really great - but I have massive guilty feelings about leaving him all day with Mikey in his pukey state and Caroline & Bennett with their snotty noses. I'm waiting to see how Mikey is this morning before I decide if I'm still going. I'm supposed to leave here in a little under 2 hours.

We'll see.
