I have always couponed, but the only store that doubles around here does it only on Wednesday and only five coupons. So not worth going there.

I am not a list maker. I just go and buy what I know I need. If I have a coupon all the better. I spend $150 per week and would like to get is down but....I have a hard time buying tons of the same things when we don't need it. Plus, with no doubles and no cats, it's not easy.

I miss my days in Boston with double coupons. So much easier to save big.

I'm blown away by all you big savers out there. Keep it up!!!

  • how's it going? It's going fairly well. I've only had one trip where my savings was more than my spending but I'm saving $30ish each time I go to the store.
  • are you sticking with it?Yes, my big goal is to become the Crazy Coupon Lady around here. I may wear one of Mark's capes the next time I go to the store.
  • where are your savings so far?  (are you keeping track?) Idk. I've been keeping my receipts in a bundle in my coupon book but I'd have to go through them to tell you the answer. Maybe later.
  • are you keeping to your list and trying to collect coupons for everything you need before you go?Yes.
  • how's your stash building? I have way too many coupons. And even more for the swap. More coupons than I could ever use.
  • what is frustrating you?  I HAATE when I make a special trip to the store for something that should give me a cat, and then I don't get one. Drive me crazy. What are you enjoying? Telling my friends about all the money I'm saving. And donating food to the food pantry at my church.
  • have you set a monthly spending goal or are you winging it? No goal.
  • anything i missed?

ditto pretty much to this entire thing, except my stash isn't that huge yet and I won't be wearing Mark's cape to the store

You could borrow Henry's. He won't mind. :D

  • how's it going? it's going pretty good so far.  I have a couple lists ready for either tomorow or Mon. so I'll let you know how that goes.  I've always used coupons, I'm just more organized with them now.  Plus I'm matching them up with the sales.  I have to say that reading the forums on a full cup.com have really helped me.  Seeing examples of how to put the sales and coupons together has really helped me out!
  • are you sticking with it?I sure am!
where are your savings so far?  (are you keeping track?)I am keeping track, but don't know what they are at the moment.  Actually what I've been doing for a few months now, is every time I use a coupon, I stash the cash that I would have paid into a box.  I will use that money for vacation when the time comes.
  • are you keeping to your list and trying to collect coupons for everything you need before you go?I keep to my list for the most part, but there are also things that I buy without coupons:  chicken, fresh fruits and veggies
  • how's your stash building? it's getting there! And we have a tiny place, so I don't know where am going to keep a stash, but I'll figure it out!  All the more reason to get a new house! lol!
  • what is frustrating you?nothing really done what are you enjoying?i definitely enjoy the savings!! and being stocked up on items that are cheap/free!!
have you set a monthly spending goal or are you winging it?I'm winging it!
  • anything i missed?

chrissie I love your idea of putting the money your saving away. Great idea.

Sadly that probably wont happen here.
