ug, right?? i tried to think of characters that she loves - but she really only watches little bear - i got her an abby (sesame street) doll recently (should have saved it for christmas) - but it was a potty training reward.

i tried pushing the whole madeline thing but it's not taking (lmao).

i did get her a corduroy stuffed bear and book (she loves the series) and a doll cradle, and i'm planning to get her a purple tutu, but aside from that i'm CLUELESS.  we're up to our eyeballs in dollhouses, teasets, dressup, calico critters families -- they're not very into princesses at all -- i just cant think of ANYTHING!

and yet R's list keeps getting longer.  *sigh*

Kelly, I can so see having this problem. Even now with Mia only one there is really nothing she needs. We have toys coming out of our ears. It will be a challenge down the road. I kind of feel bad too because I feel like Mia will get shafted.

Do you have build a bear near you? What about taking her to do that and she can pic out the clothes for her bear or whatever. They have a hello kitty you can make there. Allie is itching to go. She has never been to one. I am thinking of having someone get her a gift cert. for Christmas so we can go there.

Games? I always get games and books.

Does she like art stuff? Coloring and that?

all the time, although not really in it's intended purpose--the rose petal cottage is usually a fort or a place to hide during hide & seek, etc...she doesn't really play "homemaker" like on the ad. though that may be from having her brother influence her, idk...

i totally have that problem. Scott got a bead table this year like at doc offices. It was expensive but we already have a ton of other toys so we went for a bigger thing.

I'm still pretending christmas is months and months away so I haven't given it much thought. I think I'm getting Char the Tag system and I might get Josie the Jr version.

I'm getting her puzzles, a doll that can go in the tub, some kind of barbie like doll - preferably smaller with clothes.

I have no idea really. She just likes what Charlie likes.

I hate when that happens. That had to kill you since you are the super saver.

i just went to the toystore and brought.it.home.
i am pretty much done.
i ended up getting cara some dollhouse furniture, a calico corners dog-family, that ladybug nightlight, and an ice cream set - plus i had gotten her a corduroy book and corduroy stuffed bear (she loves corduroy), a doll cradle, and a grumpy bear.

i'm going to tell MIL about the cookie set, but i think i'm good to go for cara. seriously she doesnt know the diff, and everything that R gets, C will enjoy too.
i also got them snow white and alice in wonderland, and those are for both of them.

rachel got some new dollhouse furniture, a calico corners kittycat family, bedtime bear, hello kitty PJ, ladybug nighlight, a priscilla book, ariel and her sisters figurines, hello kitty figurines, and i still want to get her an ariel plush doll and the littlebear board game.
totally making progress, i think i'm done :)

We pretty much skipped cute baby toys and toddler today with Tristen.  He only wants "big boy" toys like Koda.

He is getting a buzz lightyear, a thomas tank train of some sort, etc.  Nearly a mirror image of Koda.  The big exception is he is getting a couple of word games/puzzles.  Kiddo adores sight words.

I can't get over the ladybug nightlight. Is it just as cute in person? I'm considering getting that (or maybe the sea turtle) for Hannah because she's super freaked of the dark.

its really cute. it's plushy.  my sister has one for each kid and they are CRAZY about them (they are 3.5 and 5.5).  hopefully they are as big a hit here - SO cute though.

Kelly - that lady bug night light is so cute. It reminded me that Allison saw it in some store when we were in Chicago and was fascinated with it. I think I may get them for the girls too.
