do you guys have beanbags for your kids?
where did you get them?
(i think i posted this before but i cant remember).

i have heard that PBKs beanbags are a bit stiff.
and i like the anywhere chairs, but....i feel like they'd be overpowering in my teeny tiny tv room.
i was just looking on jcpenny.com -- they have some, but the covers arent removable.
any other ideas?  i want the super smushy oldschool kind.
tia :)
eta: i should add that i dont like the vinyl kind, and i would LOVE for the cover to be washable, and must come in pink :)

I'll be watching this thread as well! I was debating whether to get the kids a beanbag for christmas but didn't want the "cheap" one, like you say, want it to be washable, etc...

exactly. i've been searching this for like 6 mos!!

i find that the "cheap" ones are more comfy looking, but not washable...while the pricier ones are just not smushy and comfortable.  i was just looking at toysrus.com:

but i'm not sure....i hate not seeing it in person....

I bought one from Lillian Vernon a few years ago for Crystal. I'm not sure what you mean by stiff. Crystal's came pretty round with not much give but after a little while scrunched down and is nice now. The cover is washable, too. I can't remember how much I paid for it, though.

Exactly exactly!

I hate shopping! LOL I mean I love it but hate having to try so many out.  Let me know what you find :)  I will probably check some stores here and there but not sure when and if I find one that I think is pretty comfy enough I will let you know where.

Did you check Target or Walmart?

We got the old school vinyl kind years ago, we still have them and they were stiff so we just dumped half of the foam out.

Lillian Vernon has them too.

Aha, that makes sense... over time it will break down and become more comfy but still, I know of some bean bags that are NOT comfy at all.  I'll have to check LV online and see what they have.

I found bean bag covers at a JoAnns once a few years back and just bought the filling. I wonder if they have those around still.

I am not sure if they still have them, but I have seen the bean bag filling and the bean bag cover sold seperately at Meijers.  I don't know if you have one near you, though.  They have this on line but not really sure it's one you would want:

http://www.meijer.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=33175&parentCategoryId=793&categoryId=794&subCategoryId=842&from=search

I found one at Big Lots pretty cheap, but it dosen't have the lining.  It might be a pain but you can always put the stuffing in a sturdy plastic bag and tie it shut so you can was the liner when needed.  Almost all of them have a zipper regardless if there is a lining.

yes i actually saw some on lillian vernon and they're really cute. i dont think my kids would want patterned covers (that's all they have this year) - and that's just what i mean by "stiff" - when they dont have a ton of give. good to know!!

i love the chairs too....those are really good prices...now i'm tempted to get the chairs for the playroom and the beanbags for the TV room....THANK YOU - i think i might try this.
(there's an embroidery shop in my town - i wonder what they'd charge for their names to be put on there....)

Can you not order them online on Walmarts site?

Kelly Walmart here is crazy, but we do have one really nice one about 20 min from me and that is the only one I will step foot in.

We have anywhere chairs and I LOVE them.  The covers are washable, and the girls use them all the time.

My neighbor has bean bags from LV.  They were supa stiff to start, but now are like flat pancakes.  IHNI how that happened, but they just got totally smooshed.

What about the My First anywhere chairs?  They are smaller.  We have a chair similar to that (it is Dora though), and while it is small for Anna now (I just measured her the other day and she is 43.25" tall), she still sits in it and so does Kate.  It is about the same size as the My First anywhere chairs.  Just a thought-but we adore the anywhere chairs!!
