Ok, no specifics here or anything, just wondering.  Do you generally like your hubby's friends?

I generally do. He has two good friends, and they are both nice but in small doses. It is so funny because my BFF married one of them (we inadvertently set them up).

Bill is supa laid back and pretty quiet. Both of his friends are very loud and energetic types. Like VERY loud and energetic. It is strange to me that he wound up with these two as his best friends-they are SO different from him.

But they are both nice guys, definitely entertaining to be around, and they are very respectful of me and our family life.

Bill doesn't have a ton of friends though. I guess because he grew up with 6 brothers, he wasn't in need of a lot of playmates.

99% of Joe's friends are friends that he's had since high school (and before), so we've known each other a looooong time. When we moved here, for a long time his friends were my only friends. We're a really tight knit group. I can't wait for the rest of them to get married and have kids.

Generally speaking, I love most of them. A lot of them are my greatest friends. Thankfully, the ones I don't care too much for, he doesn't hang out with much. None of them are bad people or anything, just personality clashes.

That is awesome.  And isn't it funny how you hope for people to get married and have kids?  I have been the same way!!

Tbh, for a while, we drifted from my BFF and Bill's BFF.  Our interests were just different, kwim?  But then they bought a single family house, had a baby and since then, we seem to be back on the same page.  Like, for a while, Bill would want to go out or something-not like they used to, Lord knows-and his BFF would be all like, no, we are renting a video and hanging out here.  Now though, we do stuff with our kids, but the guys also like to go out and blow off steam some too.  It works out well.

LOL.  That is fun, yet unfortunate at the same time.  Does Marc go out with his friends often?

That sounds a lot like my DH. I never thought about why before but that makes sense.

To answer the original question, I like DH's friends okay, although now we never see them. His two best friends both moved in Texas (one a few years ago and one last week) His other friend is my friend's husband. The two of them clicked until one night when we were all hanging out and the friend MAJORLY disrespected his wife. It was SO bad that I said something to the husband right then and so did my DH. I have to give my husband MAD RESPECT for not wanting to hang out with guys like that.  Now just the wife and I hang out when her DH is not around.

What friends?

DH and I are a bit reclusive as far as friends go.  Our friends (meaning mine, since dh pretty much doesn't have close friends here) are just as busy as we are so we don't really do the friend thing for the most part.  Occasionally (like once every year or two) we'll be invited to a friend's house for an event, but it's so rare it hardly counts.

I do like them. His long time friends are in Canada so we rarely see them. His friends here are all the husbands of my friends or our neighbors.

I love all of Mike's friends. I don't think there is anyone I don't like.

Yes!

His BFF is awesome! He and I are a lot a like personality wise so its very hard to get a word in when we're all together b/c he and I are jibbering up a storm. Usually he gets more in than I do. But he's great. He's our kids' godfather! Our kids play together- And when he and his wife are pregnant, we are..With the exception of their first b/c I wasn't there for that one. But their second child and Colin are 6 months apart. Addy and their youngest are 2.5months apart.

His other friend- its half and half. He's not a bad guy but I don't like how he treats his wife and kids- he doesn't take much time and effort to put into family time. He doesn't seem to care about making them a priority. He's more about making himself a priority.

I've not met his other BFF. But he sounds great. I reconnected them. That took hours of searching.

His other friend is pretty good. We've had some good times over pizza, beer, champagne...Yeah...Good times, good times. (don't care much for his wife..)

I've met a few others over the years- like the one who scheduled a reunion concert of their band on my due date- I stopped liking him then. And then when I had Addy early he wanted Grant to come out even though he knew I had just had a c-section. I really stopped liking him.
He is not a very social man so he doesn't have a whole lot of friends. But he's made some at work and I like them. They are all older guys..Veterans, too.  And one of them is my shooting instructor and he cracks me up.

Yes I like most of James' friends... most of them are the ones we grew up with or met through mutual friends.  The ones that I can't stand, he doesn't hang out with those people much anyways so i'm not worried about being associated with them much.  I'm thankful he has common sense to keep those people out of our lives (I'm talking about liars, drama-whores, etc) cause' I don't accept those at all!  There were a few friends of James that he went to high school with that I did NOT like before (younger, partying, pimp days) but they grew up finally and are so much better now that I've accepted them again (not that I was all good either but ykwim)...they were OUT of control and I didnt approve of many things they did back then LOL  So yeah most of our friends are still part of our lives and we all get along well.  Just the ones we know we dont trust, we dont bother with them.  At least James and I are on the same page with most friends.  So it's all good.

I don't know. The ones I've met have been nice enough but the only time Glen sees his friends outside of work is when he plays golf with them, and I'm not there.

Other than that, Glen is always home. And his friends don't come over.

I wonder if Glen likes my friends, though.

Hmmm . . .
