6- 4 pk Duracell shelf price 1.88/sale. I had 6/1 to make that .88 so I got 6 pks for 5.28 and a cat for 5.00 grocery. So I essentially got them for .28
I am gearing up for a grocery trip after Thanksgiving with my coupons I am collecting and will see what I can get.

i'm trying to score some CVS & walgreens deals, but i'm not doing that great.
earlier today, i went to walgreens looking for the elusive children's activity book. no luck. while i was out, i bought 4 glade candles, 4 toblerone & a skor bar (i was starving), used 2 $3/2 glade Qs, the wags $1/2 toblerone Q and 2 previous $4 RRs for a total oop of $2.07. i earned $1RR (which i totally forgot about or else i would have done the candles separately), which brought my total oop for that trip to $1.07.
tonight, i hit CVS. first, i bought 2 4x6 picture frames ($4 each) and 1 dawn soap. the soap was on sale for 99c and i had a $1/1, and the frames gave me $7ECB. i had a $5 ECB to use, so i spent $3.55 on that first purchase (not including that ECB that i earned).
next transaction, i bought a fusion razor, 2 gillette deodorants and a gillette shaving cream. i had a $4/1, $1/1 & $1/1, plus the $7 on the previous transaction so i spent $12.80 on that purchase and got $10 ECB. so the total for the 2 transactions was $16.35 with $17 ECB, so i guess i made a profit there. (didn't even realize that til i typed it out. score!)
finally, i hit walgreens again. first i bought 2 boxes nyquil (man, i love that stuff when i'm sick) which were on sale 2/$10 with a $5RR. i had a $1RR to use and a $1.50/1 Q, so my total for that purchase was $7.50 and i got a $5 RR.
second transaction was a bit more. i bought: 2 packs quilted northern (we need tp and my stockpile isn't where i need it to be yet!) - 2 x $1/1 Qs 1 box cars bandaids (on clearance - for jake's stocking!) 2 glade candles - $3/1 Q 2 toblerone - $1/2 Wags Q & $1/1 insert Q 3 dove soaps - 99c each after Wags Q (we needed soap too, dangit) 2 neosporin lip care - $1.50/1 Wags Q (works on both) and 2 $3/1 Qs 2 clear care contact lens solution - $3/1 wags Q (works on both) and 2 $3/1 Qs
used $5 RR from previous transaction and my total OOP was $20.38 and i earned another $1RR for the glade. (my lens solution is normally $8.50 each, but i'm getting it for $2.50 after the Qs. an amazing deal! woot woot!)
so for the day, i have $11 towards future purchases left between the 2 stores and i spent just under $38 cash, for a net oop of $27. not bad considering a bunch of those purchases today were gifts for the teachers' baskets that i'm making this year!
sounds like you probably have plenty of cereal now anyways, but if you happen to do the cereal deal again--select lucky charms boxes have codes for movie tickets inside. for every two codes you enter on the GM website, you receive a voucher for a free movie ticket at a participating theater.

Corey, we don't eat Lucky Charms (at least not much). If it's free, though, I suppose I can give them away...I did hear about the movies. No coupons for those, though.

I'm still trying to understand all this lingo...sounds like you did good, though!
I see what I think are cats all the time in the grocery flyer (I shop Kroger) but it's always for stuff I don't use. Or I'll use like one item and don't want to buy 10.
I admire all of you that are doing this. I just don't think I buy things that typically match to coupons. And also I find that even when there is a coupon on the name brand, the store brand will still be cheaper.
Unless I'm completely missing something. Sucks because I see how much money you guys are saving. Jealous!

alyssa, i used to think the same.
then i realized how much i can save if i combine a coupon with a sale. or a coupon with a sale with a cat for a discount on my next shopping order.
i also used to think that buying things in bulk at BJs was cheaper. but i now see that's not always true. like tide - i was paying $23 for 170oz at BJs. this week, there is a P&G cat offer at my store AND a sale on tide. long story short, i can get 200oz of tide for under $18 AND get a $5 coupon towards my next shopping order. definitely a better deal.

I totally agree with you April!! I used to think the same also!
I've gotten some really good deals(as I'm sure you have as well!)
