Prayers for my nana...

Looks like my nana is in her final days.

Her kidneys are pretty much shutting down. And she has pretty much stopped eating since yesterday morning - just sipe of  water and oj (even bob evans pot roast and mashed potatoes - her favourite)

My parents still have 24 hour home aides at the house, and hospice nursing care is visiting every day now.  even still, nurses and doctors are amazed by her strength - they think she should have passed by now.   I am amazed at my parent's strength and dedication, especially these last 2 years as they (my grandparents) have been dying, to keep them at their home and care for them.

Here are 2 pics my dad took - of my mom and nana's bedside. i soooo wish i was there :(

(my mom is sitting in my grandmas wheelchair -not hers lol. and in the second pic if you look at the pics above nana's bed, the big center one you can see me and my bro - i was 5 and wearing the blue dress.

Megan - I'm sorry and will be praying for peace for your parents.  They have been so selfless the last couple of years.

Prayers out to you and your family. It is hard to see a loved one like that regardless of age. I'll be thinking of you.

I'm thinking of you and your family Megan.

She's obviously a fighter, and your Mom and Dad are amazing for their steadfast patience over these past few, very hard, years.

Your Nana looks amazing. I love that her hair is fixed and that she has on such a pretty night gown. She's obviously very well cared for.

Megan, I am so sorry to hear this. Your Nana is obviously very strong-and that strength seems to have passed through the generations in your family without a doubt.

I'll be saying prayers.
