iPhone girls...

I have been waiting for 6 months for my Sprint contract to expire so that I can get my iPhone.  The time has finally come - YAY!  However, I have one nagging reservation.  Can you girls tell me honestly if you have had any problems with the AT&T service - dropped calls, slow response, etc.  The word on the street is that AT&T pretty much sucks, lol.  Please tell me it is not true!!

omg no problems whatsoever.  i've never had a dropped call in an entire year.  the internet *can* be slow - i'd say one out of every ten times i go on, i have to wait a few extra seconds, but it hasnt been an issue at all.  :)

i know it depends by area, but i've not had any problems with dropped calls. lately, i've occasionally had an issue where i will dial, but the call won't ever ring. but i think that's a phone issue not a service issue - i got my phone in may of 08 so it's 18 months old and i'm hoping for an upgrade for xmas. :)

i used to have those issues, but i think it's pretty area specific.  there are a few places where i always (without fail, ALWAYS) drop calls, but mostly it's not an issue.

i also get pretty steady 3g coverage too.  i basically live in downtown houston though, so we've got lots of towers and connectivity.  it may be worse out in the suburbs, i'm not sure.

i HEART my iPhone.  and though there are lots of other similar options out there, i just don't think i'd ever trade it in.  i can do EVERYTHING with it.  with the iHeart radio application, I can even listen to my fave radio station, so it's really perfect for me.

I just think it all depends on your area.

We had verizon and it sucked in our area.

By the kids school and at my husbands new office, we couldn't get signal and had a bunch of black out areas.

When we switched to AT&T and the iphones, it all cleared up for us and we have great coverage now.

I've also travelled quite a bit with my iphone and haven't had any problems.

So I think you should ask people in your area and in the area that you work how coverage is.

As far as the actual iphone goes.....oh you won't know how you ever lived without it!

This just reminds me of a funny clip I saw recently.

Not to give you a hard time specifically but this is sooo how we all think these days.

 ditto

I've had AT&T for over 15 years.  I don't think they're any worse about dropped calls than anyone else tbh

I LOVE my iphone.  I have only had it for 3 weeks and I truly don't know how I lived without it !!!  I have not had any issues with customer service or call quality.  I did have a problem with my phone.  Out of no where a crazy white line showed up across my screen.  I went to the Apple store and they just replaced my phone no problem.

FYI: I was told by AT&T that if you put a case on it that isn't from Apple or AT&T it voids you warranty.

Alicia, I can't wait to hear all about your new phone!!!!

I do think it completely depends on your area, and i would think you would be in an area that has good coverage.

My neighbor has a lot of trouble with dropped calls, and she can't talk on her phone in certain areas in her house, I know, whereas I have not had those troubles, but it just really depends.

I'm sure you are going to love it!!!

Well all I can say is that I am in love, lmao! It hasn't even been 24 hours and I can already tell that me and my phone are going to be the best of friends!

I think I have most of the basics down, but I have one nagging question...How the heck do you respond to an MS post via the Web browser? For the life of me, I cannot get the keyboard to appear.

Yay! I'm so glad you and your new bff are getting along.

With MS I find it very hit or miss.

Sometimes the keyboard will appear for me, sometimes it won't.

I think I have to go all the way out and open a new browser if it doesn't work because at that point, it gets totally stuck.

I'm curious what other people's experiences are.

I can only get the keyboard to show up when I do a quick reply...but now I am thinking that it could have just been luck.  I'll let you know if I find anything that works consistently.
