big - loser

The other night, I watched an episode of House during which Dr.  House was sitting on the couch eating ice cream and watching BL. He said, "I'm pretending they can see me."

biggrin

Has he been shopping with Mark?

Of course, Mark wants EVERYTHING but there is a particular giant moving dinosaur that he wants that costs $100.

Someone in his class brought that dumb dinosaur for show and tell.

Ugh.

I forgot to answer the question.

At Mark's preschool, I know they have one meeting in the spring to discuss whether your child is ready for kindergarten.

Other than that, I'm pretty sure they'd only have a meeting if there were a problem.

on the school front, i would take the school commitment one year at a time

God only knows what any one area or school will be like 5 years down the road nevertheless in 12

ITU the moving worry. we're there too, but i also kinda figure that what's a shittastic school today, may be a great one soona nd vice versa

mostly i'm hoping you guys (you, joe & leah) are able to move somewhere where ya'll can spread your wings and not have to worry about all of the family dramz.

LL, that's how our public school conferences are too

our last one was a 2 hour waste of time

wondering, can you guys get Lucas therapy for free if he's *NOT* enrolled in public Pre-K?

this is the battle i'm currently fighting. we had to pull Cole from public pre-K b/c they were saying/doing a lot of things that were making his delays worse (high pressure, punishment for not finishing in time, etc)

I want my mama to answer the phone!

I REALLY want to go shopping this morning, and she called and left me a message while I was taking Mark to preschool.

I usually volunteer in the library at Henry's school on Wednesday morning, and my mom knows that BUT the librarian called and said she didn't have anything for me to do today.

Why won't my mom answer any of her phones??

I may have to go to the store . . . by myself. *Gasp* *Nooooo!*

*Sigh*

I actually RAN this morning (for exercise, not because I was being chased).

I made myself get out of bed to go walking, and interspersed with my walking, I ran two shorts bursts.

I've been trying to psyche myself up to try.

It's silly but I don't like the idea of people watching me run.

We don't have E in public school anymore and do her therapies through the medical therapy services here.  Our insurance covers visits up to a certain amount, which would be more if we had more of a specific diagnosis.  I like the private therapy better because I am in there when she has it and know what's going on.  Also it gives me the opportunity to speak with the therapist and ask questions.  I can't speak for other private schools, but the one where we take E has been really good at trying to work on her goals the therapists set.  I just emailed the goals to the school.  I don't know if this helps any, but thought I would let you know what we are doing jic it helps.

We can but only because he has state health insurance and they cover everything 100%. There is however VERY VERY LITTLE available that take the insurance so the answer to your question is probably no LOL.

I'm so sorry your school system sucks, heads would be rolling and I would have pulled him out too.  We are so so so fortunate that the program he is in is so good. I have huge fears for the transition into kindergarten and a "typical" school setting. Of course at this point he still can't/refuses to do much with a writing utensil so they may say he can't go to kindergarten "on time" anyway LOL
