I bought some face paint on clearance at Walgreen's yesterday because Mark is always wanting me to paint his face--usually with my makeup. Last time, I gave him a clown nose with CG Outlast Lipcolor. It did not want to wash off.
Anyway, he knew I bought it so this morning he asked me if I would paint a bumblebee on his face before school. "How hard could a cute little black and yellow striped bumblebee be to paint?" Then Mark told me to go get his Transformer (named Bumblebee) so it would look just like that. Oh.
I did my best, and it was acceptable to him. He was very proud of it and showed it to everyone at school.
He'd been asking me for DAYS to get him a Bumblebee Transformer costume (even though he'd already picked out Superman for trick-or-treating). I was planning to get him lots of dress-up clothes for a Christmas gift anyway so I went looking for clearance costumes. I got several, including Bumblebee, and I went ahead and gave him the Bumblebee one when I got home.
He LOVED it. He put it on immediately. When I got home from my exercise class, he was still wearing it even though I knew he had had a bath. He said he put it back on because he wanted to sleep in it. Glen talked him out of sleeping in it but I bet he puts it on to wear tomorrow.
So cute. If only I had a working digital camera, I'd take a picture.
