Consignment question

I have some things I want to consign.  I don't usually do this, but I have a couple of holiday dresses (one Gymbo, one J&J), Kate's love to twirl dresses from last year (Hanna), and a couple other J&J sweater dresses.

There are a few options here.  There are two kind of upscale stores here-they both give 40%, one puts them on sale after 30 days if they don't sell.  Then there is also OUAC, and they give you cash upfront.

IHNI what to do.  They are definitely nice enough that I could get some money back for them, but I don't know where to take them, or if I should try selling things myself on CL or eBay. (they are all used, but most were worn minimally and they are all in excellent condition)

Thoughts???

i did consignment once and made 50% back on each article of clothing. it is an upscale shop and my stuff sold for between 50 and 100 a piece (adult clothes).
i never tried the other stuff but i had a good experience with consignment.

Ok-good to know!  Maybe I will look and see what they are asking for similar things and then decide.  IDK.  What was the retail of the things you sold?  Just wondering how much they ask of the original price, kwim?

I would rather consign, but then wonder if I could make a lot more if I sell them myself.  IHNI.

Laura - I notice on Ebay that Gymbo, Hannah Andersson and J&J go for pretty good prices. May want to see if what you have is out there and what they are listing for.

Ok-maybe it is worth checking out.  I have never sold on eBay, but there is always a time to start, right??

I have not either, but am thinking of it. I have so many good dresses, etc from the girls.

I do not know the details on listing on ebay.

Her dresses from last year are a 90.  I have two velour ones, I think (black and red) and a cotton one that is light blue.  She is going to be wearing Anna's from last year, which are a 100.

OUAC here gives you shiz for money. I was unimpressed - BUT, if just getting rid of them quickly is important, and the money is a bonus, it's quick and painless.
