what's on your ipod?

i'm gradually getting my iphone set up (i know, it's been a year).
i hadnt used it as an ipod till YESTERDAY.  all our music is all over the place - this external hard drive, this work computer, mike's random ipods, etc - and for a while there it was just easier to revert to CDs.  plus it's only recently that i nixed kids' music ALTOGETHER (and couldnt be happier about that).
yesterday i finally set the whole thing up.

so what's on your ipod right now?

i have put on the hives, white stripes, new pornographers, pixies, kings of leon, and one or two from cure, smiths, radiohead, etc.
i need to get more with-it music wise - i am JUST re-emerging and dont know what's current really, apart from whoever letterman has on - lmao.
thanks!

I listen when I walk to work, at work and walking home. I love love love audiobooks. I thought I would hate them since I'm such an avid reader but it just means I get to read books even more often.

My Ipod is crazy mixed. If you shuffled it you'd end up with everything from Miley Cyrus to The Temptations, Drake to Kings of Leon, Pantera to Sugarland.

Right now there's a lot of Adele, Paramore, and Kings of Leon being played. Definately nothing original or mind blowing. Just current favorites. And sadly, I'm on a Motown Hits kick right now, lol. Yeah, I'm 67 yo. lol.

they are a nice mellow alternative band - love them soooo much.
it's "the new pornographers" if youre searching for it.
i love the cure.  rachel does too, which is great, but she played them into the GROUND all summer and i need a break.
i didnt let her listen to disintegration (a little gloomy i felt) so those i'm not sick of -- but i dont want to hear "Staring at the sea" for a while - lol.

Too funny - does Rachel love music? Allison loves it. It craps me up because she really loves blues. I mean when we are out and she hears it she just loves it and asks who this is.

I am going to check out the new pornographers. Thanks

"craps me up" - dying.

rachel loves music.  her favorite band is the grateful dead (lmao) - she asked the teachers if she could bring in the CD.  her other faves are squeeze and the cure, and she's becoming a kings of leon fan now bc both her babysitter and me are into them.

I love my typos - it craps me up :)

I am laughing at the thought of Rachel introducing the Dead to the preschool class.

i know. her teachers were like "rachel said she wants to share a cd with the class, and we said she can bring it in" - i was like "did she mention it's the dead?" LMAO.
they were like - "ohhhh - that's ok though, they wont get the references" - haha!  i have to get her singing "sugar magnolia" on video one of these days...and what REALLY kills me is that she calls cara "truckin'" as a nickname.

Totally - I was going to take a pic of the street sign Moran that I work on and have it as my profile pic. I think that would be fitting.
