What were your faves?  Which trends were you into, and which did you let pass by?

I KNOW I will leave some off here, but check the ones you loved!!!!

I lived for barbie most of my childhood, but I also loved cabbage patch kids (and I loved those garbage pail kid stickers too!), and adored Pound Puppies.  I also like the Wuzzles, but never got too terribly into them, and I loved Strawberry Shortcake.

Oddly, I never got much into My Little Pony.  I had a few but that was it.  Never got into Rainbow Brite either, and I never had a Glo-Worm.

I am trying to think of others, but I know I left a lot out-and of course it will be different for the youngens on the board!!!

Loved barbie. Played with them forever.

Also loved Moncheechees though I'm sure I had the generic brand monkeynus :eyeroll

Also loved the little woodland animals who lived in a log. Can't remember what they were called.

Loved the real fisherprice little people.

I liked my barbies but I really loved my easy bake oven! biggrin My dad actually made lots of things for me/us, which I thought was cool but had no idea it was because that's more like what they could afford. giggle.gif  He made me a doll house and a stove and fridge.  Elizabeth has the stove and fridge now.

Another cool thing that he did was get a couple of those huge wooden wire spools (they look like a giant thread spool) and in one of them he cut a hole in the end so we could get inside and roll down our hill.  They were fun to play on too.

And the lite brite? I adored that thing!!!!

We didn't have Simon, but I loved playing with it when I went to someone's house who did have it.

i wasnt into my little pony or strawberry shortcake really.

muffy mentioned litebrite - i LOVED THAT...and i loved my disco ball.  we had a beaded door in my room (ie, no door, just strung beads) and we'd have that disco ball going 24-7.  soooooo 70s.

i had a holly hobbie doll and a sleeping bag.

Are you talking about Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots?  Those were really cool.  I forgot about the record player.  I had one that was that lovely gold color and folded.  I think I might still have my simon.  I should have waited for you to post because now I am thinking, "oh yeah, I had that." lmao.gif

apparently i was obsessed with these, although i was pretty young and don't remember. a couple of xmas's ago, my family bought me one and everyone was on the edge of their seat waiting for me to open it--assuming i would jump for joy, i guess. lmao. i had no effing clue what it was nor could i figure out why they'd buy that for me. apparently not the reaction they had hoped for.  weirdface.gif

It was Strawberry Shortcake but because it has the most sentimental value attached to it. My grandfather, before my mom took us away from my dad and his family, would spend hours playing SS cake with me.

aww
