I don't think so.  We were going to do trick or trot at the university farm (all the equestrian students decorate their horses and stalls and pass out candy), but I am pretty Halloweeened out.  The thought of getting their costumes on for a third night is so unappealing.  We may call it a holiday and start some THanksgiving crafts this weekend :)

The boys did trick or treat in one of the first year residence halls last night.  There were only 8 stops, but they didn't know the difference and thought they got "lots of candy".

how adorable!  who else tot's in the dorms?  i would have LOVED that in college, but we didn't have that. :(

surprisingly, this is the first year any of the halls do tot for kids inside the actual halls.  The last campus I was on, this was huge.  We did it a few nights before halloween (you don't want your kids in a residence hall on halloween night, hell, I don't want to be in them on halloween night).  We would get hundreds of kids, and for the students, it is the first time they get to hand out candy themselves, so they loved it too.

I think it will grow here next year.  It was lightly attended, but it worked for us!

How far are you from one another? It must be nice having them closer.

Good morning,

We have our last soccer game - thank goodness. It has been really crummy weather this fall for soccer. Well, for 4 year old soccer that is. It is windy as all get out here. I hope it calms down for tonight.

We do not ToT till dusk here. So we will try and chill after the soccer game and lunch till it is time. She really does not need to go. She already has so much candy. We went to the village and TOT and then at her school party she came home with tons of stuff.

I am trying to convince Rich to wear his pirate costume to go ToT tonight :)

Do any of you dress up to take the kids out ToT?

I have lots of options to do right now, but not many I would like to actually do. lmao.gif  This evening we are going tot with one of E's good friends.  It should be fun because we will stop at houses of friends.  We don't go to every house because I really am mean and don't want all that candy in the house.

April, Jake sounds adorable!

Sonya I hope you get your dryer hooked up soon.

Jenn I can see why you are getting halloweened out, but the horse things sounds fun.

Sara that is cute that you are Mr. Mommy.  I hope the whining stops pronto!

Melissa I don't dress up but lots of parents here do.

Tracy I hope you stay warm.

Muffy I hope you have a blast with your brother.

Is it any surprise that the little freak girl is dressing up! LMAO!

Halloween is my most favorite time of the year! I start getting excited about August..Right after my birthday.

furiousfuriousfuriousfurious<- Vampires

Colin will be Woody.
Addy is going to be a cat.
I am going to be a witch to compliment her cat.

My costume is not store bought considering I have loads of black clothing here at the house. I, however, will not be an ugly witch. I don't do ug.

To answer the question- we are kind of ToT'ing.

We are going to this church's Hoopla. You trick or treat at the church. NOT a trunk or treat but you go from room to room at the church and get candy that way. There will bouncy houses and bobbing for apples. That sort of stuff.

Then we are going to our friends' house to see them for a few minutes and trick or treat at their house. And then I think just come home. I don't know if I want to go back out. Probably come back home and relax. Put the kids to bed and sleep myself.

I let DH sleep in so that he'll love me even more and go out and buy my new phone this weekend versus making me wait for the new plan to take effect...I'm getting a Gravity and I can text. Yee!!

Hi!

We're going tot this evening once it gets dark--so about 6pm. Maybe 6:30 if it isn't dark enough yet.

I invited my sil and John to come with us.

Kelley (sil) also mentioned another nearby church that is having a Trunk-or-Treat party this evening so we'll probably do that too.

Usually there are only about 15-20 houses in my neighborhood passing out candy.

I told Kelley my boys wanted to tot in her neighborhood, and she said that she only knew about 3 other families in her neighborhood so we wouldn't be tot very long.

Do other people only go to people's houses they know personally for tot?

Not us. We go to all neighborhood houses that are lit up.

Well how was everyone's Halloween??

Did you, I mean your kids, get lots of candy?

Did you have many trick-or-treaters come to your house?

More or less than you expected?

grumble grumble grumble...
H1N1 (confirmed) is now in the buildings I oversee.
After a week on constant programming with the students, they are all going to get it.  Never mind the halloween hookups and drink sharing.
At this point, I just want it to run it's course through my buildings.
The vaccinne clinic got postponed, so since it is inevitable...I just want it over with!

I'm apparently full of grumbles tonight.

Tristen just had an allergic reaction.  He had skittles.  Skittles are peanut safe.  IHNI what he reacted to.

:(

I'm so sick of waiting for this. i don't want us to get it, obviously but I feel like it is just a matter of time.

dbp -

sonya, computer question...

jake's school emails us his monthly lunch calendar and we can choose which lunches to buy.

we're trying to go green, so i'd like to email it back.

problem is, she's sending me a jpg of the calendar and i don't know an easy way to circle or highlight the days that i want as a jpg and not just a word doc.

any suggestions?

tia! :)

MS Paint? Open the jpg in MS paint and circle that way.

Let me know if you need step by step.
