That there is ALWAYS something going on.  I don't need to search for an event or anything, it is all right here.  Unforunately, with Travis's schedule we don't get to enjoy it as much as I'd like, but it is available.

There are 15 miles or so of bike and walking trails that start two parking lots over.

Koda's preK is literally across one massive parking lot.  I can see it from my building.

During that academic year, there is no shortage of babysitters.

There is the rec pool that is available to us.  We had to pay for membership, but it is new and handy in the winter.

I have no commuter to work.  I would also put that as a negative though.

So friendly, for the most part :)   Set aside the cranky students complaining about the topic of the day, when it comes to my family I've only ever had one bad interaction.

Safe.  I know the name of most public safety officers, I see them nightly.  I know the staff.  Everyone looks out for my kiddos.

Today, I love my job.

*I go in later due to flex-time.
*I have one committee meet I chair at lunchtime.
*From 1:45-4:45 I am doing community service with my students cleaning and organzing our on campus food pantry.'

Then, I'm pretty much done.  Through in there some email, the one or two student issues... but really...I get paid to do three hours of service for a site that I love.  How great is that :)

Remind me of this post when I have to be at work 7:30am-noon tomorrow on a Saturday for RA interviews...

favorite thing...favorite thing...favorite thing????

hmmm, I guess I would have to say my only favorite thing is that we don't get lots of snow. We sometimes get a couple inches in late winter-Easter but that's it.

Also I like our school district and my kids' teachers.

I think my list of what I DON'T like about living here would be longer

I love that we are in a small city but one that has everything.

I love that because of all the universities, we have a lot of interesting cultural things.

I love that our city is so walkable (despite all the stupid hills;) ).

I also love that within 15 minutes, we can be completely outside the city and in the country.

I'm so annoyed.

It looked like it was going to be the perfect day for drying clothes on the line (my dryer is still not installed - totally my fault).

Sunny but windy.

So I did two loads of laundry.

And now it is raining.

BLAH!

I'll have wet clothes all over the house trying to get dry unless i get energetic and take it to my moms or a laundrymat.

BLAH. Stupid rain.

Sonya...I LOVE the smell of line dried clothes.

I wish it today's low was the high so I could justify starting a fire. I love a roaring fire.

Now that I have to edit b/c I misunderstood-

Usually- there is something going on in one part of the city or another. Like next weekend is the gun show and Grant is begging to go so we'll see what we can wrangle up in the way of fair trade.

It isn't a huge city so there isn't much in the way of traffic except on I-26 and I-40 every once in awhile.
The unique stores downtown are pretty awesome- stuff you couldn't find anywhere you can find in Asheville.

The bumper sticker is right- Keep Asheville Weird.

And it is weird.

But is becoming more mainstream and trendy- and expensive.

Good morning!

I love this town.  I love the big old houses, I love the brick road downtown, I love that we're not too far from a bigger city, I just love it.

Apparently there is a child support law now that you have to use a debit card from the Attorney General's office to receive your child support payments...supposed to be much quicker. I think it's a visa debit card...i dont remember.

when i got my card i went online to register it and set up my account to send me an email whenever money is actually credited---ya know an actual support payment. stupid thing is making me crazy though, i KNOW there isn't going to be money there, but I check my email every morning and night, hoping, jic.

this morning...nothin! dang it.

being able to check things like that online is not good for me. lol

I really need to take control of my weight. I've gotten so flabby. I think if i could have a tummy tuck I would feel a little better. All those pregnancies and csections have done a job on my belly.

of course eating better and excercise would help.

i think the pumpkin bread is ready to come out of the pan...dang, that wont help lmao.gif

I can't be the only one who got a chuckle out of the this months scholastic book order form  with the book "Santa lost his Ho-Ho-Ho".

I'm mature.

I need baby gift ideas.

3rd baby.  Childhood friend.  Not super close, but she sent something for my kiddos so I'd like to do the same.  Max about $25.

Baby is about 3 weeks now.

Help.  With is being a third (baby is a girl), I'm a little stumped.

I'd selfishly love for it to be Amazon so I can just ship it directly to her.

Thoughts?

Jen, I'd send her a target giftcard.

Or board books.

or diapers.

Or another kind of gift card.

Weekend, lets see.

Tonight, laundry.  It is embarassing how far behind I am.  Seriously, I will probably run 10-12 loads.  Horrible.

Tomorrow I run RA interview day from 7:30 to noon.  Then, some weekly shopping for sure.

Sunday I am carving/painting pumpkins with the boys, then baking a lot of cookies.  Sunday night is busy.  I need to cook spaghetti for my students free dinner Sundya night, sit at a table with Koda to sell cookies for a cure from 5-7pm, get the kids to bed, work until 10pm, then crash.

Weekends are so short :(
