April, I didn't mean 16 years.

I meant 16 days.

Sorry.

:P

Speaking of shrill voices (yes we were), my mom has a super-shrill voice when she gets animated or annoyed or anything.

I have trouble with people hearing me sometimes because I consciously don't want to sound shrill so I talk really softly.

Henry is going to audition for Jack & the Beanstalk Monday at his school.

The rehearsals are next week, and the show is next Saturday.

Short notice, short rehearsal time.

Henry asked me what if he didn't get a part.

I told him it would be no big deal but surely, SURELY they'll let everyone be in it who auditions since it is only a one-week deal.

It is being presented by a local children's theater (Missoula if you've heard of it) and not by Henry's school.

I've been going back and forth about the wisdom of adding something else to our schedule especially since he's having some academic trouble but it's just one week.

And I think Henry will really enjoy it.

Oh Sara! I totally understand. Maybe you can tell your kids it's backwards week and they should yell daddy daddy. Don't tell Dan.

Am instituting a craft hour before bed. We really let this slip and Charlie is getting so fussy about drawing. Super particular if he does it wrong and he cries.

I'm chatty tonight.

I think the b12 is working wonders for me.

That or not commuting 10plus hours a week.

I'm not as forgetful and way way way less irritable.

Another missing message. This time on iPod.

Sigh.

It was really interesting, too.

We never had to do anything for Gavin but we have since changed that with Owen.

There is a lock on the top of the door. Just one that you pull up and then over - not a deadbolt or anything. But you have to be tall enough to get to it. That is locked all the time when Owen is with us in the house. We also installed a bar for the sliding glass door in the back. He is our little escape artist. But now we don't have to put the gate on his door and he just comes straight to my room when he wakes up.

We also put keyed locks on both of our side gates JIC those were left open accidentally and he manages to get the bar open on the back door. He really freaked us out once and is such a little mischief that we had to go a little overboard.
