how do you accesorize a cowl neck dress?

I know it's not the most dressy thing in the world, but I have a cowl neck sweater dress that I am planning on wearing to a wedding Saturday.  It's plain black and other than the cowl neck, not really any detail.  So do I just use some rather jazzy earrings?  What do you do?  Here's the dress:

Also the dress hits me just above the knee.  I am a shorty and far from that models body. giggle.gif

So pretty!!!

Yeah, I think some long earrings would look great with that, and IDT you would need anything else. Maybe a bracelet or something.

Some people might add a belt, but since I am a fatty, I personally wouldn't, lmao.

How are you going to wear your hair?

ITTTTTA with supa - just earrings and maybe a bracelet.

nothing near the neck or waist.

it could be nice to wear your hair up if possible (cant remember how long it is at the moment) - the neckline has enough going on without hair getting stuck in and out of the folds.

I looooove that.

And ita with the others. Great earrings, and maybe a bracelet.

personally, I wouldn't do long earrings because I think they would compete with the neckline. Just something bright and sparkly.

Bracelet.

I like belts but I think it would make it look more casual.

Fun heels/strappy sandals, maybe in a color to give it some oomph.

I agree with the colored heals. I would do red ones or something, but make sure they are dressy heals.

I would also not do long earrings, but a sparkly or dressy earring.

I do like that, but I have too big of a butt to pull those off. They are very popular this year.  You will be trendy :) Then you can use it another time with adding a belt for a more casual look

Do you have a wrap? I would get a dressy wrap to wear to the wedding too? Add a dress clutch too?

Thank you for all the ideas! It looks like some fun earrings are in my future and maybe a bracelet.  I do have shoes, but you just never know what might be out there. giggle.gif  Sometimes it just feels good to really dress like a girl. smile

Gorgeous!  I would just wear some drop earrings and have a nice french manicure.  Sometimes less is more. :)

Some chunky bracelets and a nice beaded necklace- nothing costume-y but the really nice beaded necklaces in various colors to give the dress a little pop.

I don't much like her boots but you could probably pull it off with higher boots or a pair of killer heels- like red peep toes or silver. I love black and silver together.
