Good morning!

Do you remember when you first got a VCR? DVD player? Record Player? CD player? Computer? Radio? Colour TV? Cable?

i only remember our first computer - it was in the very early 80's.

my parents had to take out a short term loan to buy it.
it has one of those green and black screens - and there was nothing cool like the internet or pictures or anything.

we put it in the kitchen so the while family could use it, and the 4 of us (me, mom, dad, bro) all went to an evening computer class at the shop to learn how to use it.

Morning!

Let me see . . . I don't remember getting a record player. We always had one.

We had color TV as long as I can remember.

We got a VCR AND a Beta when I was 12/13ish, I think.

We were one of the last families to get cable; I think I had already gone away to college before my parents caved.

My brother had a TRS-80 computer when we were in high school.

I didn't have a dvd player until after I had been married a few years; I think Glen's sister bought it for us for Christmas.

My goodness, Mark is a bear today.

I hope it improves quickly now that he has eaten something.

I hope to get out of the house today but well see. Yesterday DH was feeling better but still sick, but last night his cough was horrible and he had a fever again. Hopefully this morning hell be fine to watch the kids while I go shopping. The kids are still coughing so Im not sure I want to take them out if I dont have to yet.

Also his work called yesterday to say he might need to go TDY for a month and a half. I have no clue what Id do. Grocery shoppign the boys take up the whole cart and no one will deliver groceries on base and I have several doc appts that I dont know where they are for Raym and hopefully will be able to see a GI for me. Our only hope is if someone else he works with volunteers, but if not hes made to go. Id also have to stop doing awana since I wont drive at night on the highway.

our computer is not doing well LOL. Dh doesnt know wether to replace it or just the hard drive. I cant believe we can spend less than what we spent on this one for a computer thats way better. IM just tempted to wait till it completely dies so that maybe we can get an even better one around the same price.

We've needed a new computer forever.

I don't know if we should get one for Christmas, or if I should replace my digital camera.

Ideally, we'd do both but I'm thinking we won't have enough $$.

Boo.

dh also thinks he saw a black widow spider last night. I think hes going to call the housing office to get them to spray. Kaylen sometimes thinks bugs are her friends. And sits very close (other times shes scared as all get out).

Good morning, girls!

I remember that we were one of the first families in our friends to get a vcr. It was so exciting. We rented Annie and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang for my birthday party and everyone was so excited.

I remember getting my first radio. It was in a Pekanese stuffed dog and I was SO thrilled. I got my first tape player in jr high and that was really exciting.

When we moved to Boston in 2001, dvd players were still pretty expensive so we bought a vcr. I was shocked when I thought about that. It seems like dvd players have been around forever. We did get a dvd player in 2004. We're pretty high-tech. lol.

I'm beyond excited.

I just found the California Baby creams here in Halifax at the cutest little store (thank god my diapering days are over right now - they have all my favorites in stock and I almost couldn't handle it).

Josie is terribly dry all over right now and all the creams we tried make her worse. The California baby sunscreen is the only thing that didn't make her break out (and I tried everything this summer - very expensive process) but I was having it shipped by a friend from the US.

Is it wrong to have another baby just because you adore cute new cloth diapers?

I cannot wait until my diapering days are completely over which I'm hoping is in the next 6 months.

I will never miss them!

wonder if I should stop and get a gigantic hot apple chai on my way to the walk?!

probably not - then I'd have to use a port a potty and I've banned those from my life forever more.

yeah, my life is THAT exciting.

try to hold your jealousy to a minimum, please.

speaking of diapering.

we were, weren't we?

well, I was anyway.

Kate is having some #2 issues.  She has the stinkest and man do I mean smelly poos but they are not really poos - they are dimed size and they are constant.  Like we change her and 3.5 minutes later there is a dime size ball of really raunchy poo in her diaper again.

I've banned milk.  She's on a water only diet until that shit (and I mean that literally) gets out of her system.

I massaged her tummy last night and I think it might have helped.  Call me crazy but she actually passed a real, honest turd not long after the massage.
