The flu has hit here.

Yes, the sickness is back in my house. cry

Bryce woke up at 6 am this morning crying.  John went in and he said that everything hurt.  I got up and took his temp it was 101.2.  He then narrowed it down to his head, throat and ears hurting him.  And a horrendous hacking cough. Called the doctor's office when they opened and they wanted him seen because of his ears but said it sounded like he had the flu.

His ears and throat are fine. He tested positive for Influenza A.

Keegan woke up at 10:25 with the hacking cough and had a temp of 100.3. We were on our way to Bryce's appt. After Bryce's positive test his peditrician said Keegan likely had it as well, I did not bother having him tested since we knew one child did.

All three kids plus John and I are on Tamiflu. He said since we caught it early he was going to go ahead and put Bryce and Keegan on it.

Bryce has been doing so-so.

Keegan however has ran a high temp. It was up to 102.2 around 5 pm. He then laid around on John nearly falling asleep (since he had not napped much due to the cough) I went ahead and got him in his pj's and ready for bed. He then puked.  Got him cleaned up and got him into bed just before 6 pm.  He is still up there rolling around some and kind of whining. I know he just must be achey. Him being so tiny worries me though.

More positive thoughts and prayers, please.

eta: They do not have a quick test for H1N1. Their doctor said most likely that is the flu they have just because that is what is going around the region.  But he said symptoms and treatment are the same.

Also this stuff came on QUICK!!! Yesterday all day Bryce was fine.  Keegan was fine this morning then the fever struck and it went downhill fast.

Many P&PT out to all of you Sara. You all have had a rough couple of weeks. Hopefully the Tamiflu helps some since you started it so soon after symptoms appeared. :hugs

I am praying Sara. I know it is scary with little ones getting the flu.

I am so sorry your boys are sick. I hope they recover fast, and I hope it avoids Owen and you and John.

I'll be thinking about all of you.

Ugh Sara all 3. I'm so sorry for them and for you. Ryan got it yesterday but luckily the other 2 are good for now, I can't imagine all 3.

He's puked up the tamaflu both times I've given it to him. Are your kids doing the liquid? I really want to get this in him.

You're right, it hits fast. I couldn't even get him into the ped it's so bad here, I took him to the Walgreen's clinic.

Owen does not have it yet. Just Bryce and Keegan.

Bryce woke up with it this morning. Keegan's hit around 10:30 this morning.

Like you have seen first hand. Comes on so darn fast!!

The boys all are on the liquid. They have only had one dose.  I have them orange gatorade standing by and told them they can take a little then drink some gatorade then drink a bit more.

Bryce and Keegan are only on it for 5 days since they have the flu already. Owen they put on for 10 days for preventive. It should be interesting getting him to take it twice a day for 10 days. :shoothead!

They are calling it the yucky medicine.

Did your doctor put your other two on it as preventitive?
