i used my gymbucks last night. i wasn't thrilled but i only had $25 so i didn't want to get the panda stuff (which was so cute!) so caroline got a fall-ish outfit ...

Meow Double Sleeve Tee and Stripe Legging

she will only wear leggings or sweats. boo cry

and some black leggings & a couple of barretts to match this outfit and a set for halloween.

GM!

I'm slow to get up and going today, the overcast weather isn't helping.

I am trying to go through all my stuff and find things to give to Koda's preK.  They are having a big yard sale as a fundraiser.  Two bags so far.  I wish I would have known earlier, I purge stuff to goodwill all the time.  I would have saved it.

This weekend I see the inlaws, my mil just had gastric bypass 2 weeks ago.  We'll see how she is doing.  The real reason we are there is to finish stacking wood for them for the winter.  They are way to proud to ask, but really need the help.

Morning!

I'm okay this morning.

It's a dark, cloudy, rainy day today so I think I'm going to change my shopping plans.

I'll just come home and unpack/repack our suitcase for our Fall Break trip.

It's time for me to take Mark to preschool.

Hopefully we won't get too soaked walking into the building.

Full of hope! Feeling lovely and feeling good about myself which is odd b/c I never think I look good. But I did my hair up, my make-up. I'm dressed in a khaki skirt and cute blouse so I feel great actually. :)

Hopeful that this next interview for Grant proves worthwhile.

The other place offered him $19/hr for all the work he'd be required to do with 10 hour work days Mon-Thurs and then OT all day Friday. That's a 50hr. work week. Plus emergency travel to Michigan and North Dakota as needed for up to a week with pay and $40/day to live on and lodging.
Not worth it if you ask me. Not worth it. I keep thinking, "How many birthdays will he miss? How many anniversaries? How many milestones?" He delights in everything these two do. And with Addie rolling over this morning from back to tummy- which he missed and is beating himself up over- I worry about how depressed he'll be over missing these moments. I'd almost rather he try to get back into the Navy --again--.

Oh, yeah. Did I tell you? Addie rolled over from back to tummy this morning. She was up at 6:30. I put her in bed with me and got up to go to the bathroom. When I laid her down she was on her back. When I came back, she had just rolled over to her tummy! Not sure if its a fluke or not but she was happy about it.

tough decisions, Jennie.

Wouldn't the navy be worse?

these types of decisions are so hard, especially in hard times when you feel grateful just to have a job.

It probably would and he refuses to do it. He says I couldn't handle him being gone all the time. That I'd go crazy and leave him. Puh-lease.

I am a creature of habit. I like things to be the same every day. That has never changed about me. I would go batty if he had to up and leave in the middle of the week to go to ND for a week. That would drive me insane. Same as if he would be in the Navy.

I feel like there is this huge hourglass hanging over our heads in terms of jobs. He has an interview next week with a company here in town. And my grandfather referred him to a hoist and crane company that does all the work on the hoist and cranes in the Georgia Pacific plants (my g-pa is an engineer with GP).

I hate this. Meanwhile he is applying and sending his resume in to every job that sounds appealing. I just pray every night that something good comes our way. Something that doesn't mean we have to move.

Hi all!! Things are fine here. It was supposed to be dreary, but it is nice and sunny for now, which is lovely. And it is like 80 degrees!!! But tomorrow is supposed to be mid 60s.

I am getting a lot better at being social with the other moms, lol. Kate and I went to the park for a while, and we ran into a mom from Kate's class with her son. We chatted while the kids played. I am so proud of myself, lmao! I have a hard time being social at first, but I am really working on it.

This weekend-no definite plans yet. Their isa fall fest tomorrow at a local park, but it depends on the weather. And Bill has some junk to clean up in the yard (broken up concrete, wood he used for forms). It has been piled up in a corner for a long time now, and we need to clear that spot to pour a pad for our new HVAC unit. We need to replace ours and decided to move it when we do that-it currently is out back on the patio, and we want to move it to the side of the house so we can have our patio area cleared off.

That's great that you got to know one of the moms better.

I try to be friendly but I usually have no idea what to talk about.

I did ask a mom/kid from Mark's preschool to go to the park one day last week; they went and we had a good time.

On Sunday morning, I'm taking the kids to Nashville (3 hour drive).

I've packed our clothes plus some food.

I also started a bag of kids' entertainment stuff for the car and hotel room--coloring and activity books, crayons, books to read, kid magazines. Still wavering on whether to take the DS and the Leapster.

I need to get a few more food items to take but I want to get them as last-minute as possible. Bananas, grapes, loaf of bread, doughnuts.

Also, I'll need to pack my makeup, contact lens, glasses, and hair stuff on Sunday morning.

I've confirmed our hotel reservations.

I hope I don't forget anything important (like my envelope of cash).

ITU-I end up talking about laundry or potty training and silly things like that-just trying to find common ground for light conversation.

So far I have not asked anyone to do anything, lol.  I am not quite there yet.  But we had a playdate last week, and one of the moms told me the other day that she wants to get our girls together because her daughter talks about Kate all the time (and Kate talks about he daughter all of the time too).  So i should email her and set that up.  Hopefully at her house, lmao.

But it isn't easy for me.  I know some people come to it naturally, but I definitely don't.  Unless there are cocktails, which there usually aren't at preschool.

Fun Robin!!!  How does Glen feel about you going?  Is he freaking out?

Are you going for something specific? (sorry-I probably missed your telling about that)

Ok, this post is WAY TMI, so please feel free to skip it. It is about...well...poop. This is the focus of my life, after all, lol.

So I have been taking all of these supplements. One of which is this peppermint oil pill for digestion.

Then I started having these UTI symptos after this weekend's incident, so I started up on the cranberry pills again, then was reading into other natural treatments. I decided to try another one in addition to the cranberry because I really don't want to be on abx.

Well, yesterday I had a TERRIBLE day in the bathroom. I went 5 times (yikes) and felt all bloated and stuff. Also, at the end of the day, I went and I swear, it felt like I had just passed a menthol cough drop-youch!!! And my poop smelled like peppermint!! (I have been on that stuff for at least 3 weeks now and this is new to me) Well, this morning I had a lot more blood, but no peppermint, but then I just went again and yet again, peppermint!!! I know this is more than any of you want to know-but it is weird, right? It has to have somethng to do with the new supplement I started, which was Goldenseal Root btw, because things were fine before.

Let me tell you, pooping menthol is not comfy.
