I just called Early intervention. Last week the speech therapist seemed to think it would do raymond more good than she can at his age.

We went for a second appt yesterday but there was a wreck so we were super late. They didnt even let us talk to the lady for the ten minutes we had left. I was so irked I canceled his speech from now on. She seemed to think he was too young for formal therapy anyway.

THen the san diego refferal didnt go in or so it seems so I had to call the ped to find out if he was still supposed to go.

Mark just helped me clean the kitchen, bake a cake, then clean the kitchen again.

I love that he is so helpful even though sometimes it makes more work for me.

I made two square cakes instead of one 9 x 13 cake.

We'll eat one, and we'll finish the other and give it to our friend Margaret as a thank you for letting us swim with her all summer.

I'm taking my kids to Nashville for a few days during Henry's Fall Break next weekend.

I've been putting money aside for about a month and a half.

I have $186. lol.

That isn't enough for the hotel room.

I'll get a bit more money on Friday because that's when my dad pays me to some work for him.

Then I'll have enough for the room plus he may give me a bit extra just for the trip. I hope so anyway.

I've been stocking up on snack-type stuff so we can do most of our eating in our hotel room or in the van.

Closer to Sunday, I'll get a variety of fruits and a loaf of bread.

Taking a trip on a dime. :D

this week, I have TONS of crocheting I need to get done...I need to finish 2 afghans and a pillow. Hopefully I can make a good bit of progress on them. I'm also working on a baby sweater but somehow messed it and can't figure out where I goofed so that's put aside while I finish this other stuff...I have about 2 weeks to get those afghans and pillow done...if there is time, I need to get a yellow/white kichen cloth and potholder set done.

What else...the usual daily maintance of laundry and housework. And make a ped appt for Daniel for a shot before the school nurse has a stroke :eyeroll: even though his ped said he doesn't HAVE to have that particular one right this minute and that it CAN wait til his next scheduled appt in January.

Anywhoozers....loving this weather we're having. Oh yeah, I need to pull our my box of Halloween crap and see what needs to be replaced.

Pics when they're done?

I'm working on afghans and a pillow, too, but I don't have a time table for them.  I'm just using the yarn I bought for my birthday.  I've got the main body of one afghan done and I'm working on the back of the pillow.  I've got to finish that, do the body of the front, and get the main body of another afghan done before I can finish the stitching and borders on all three.  Then I've got yarn for another afghan.  I'm excited about that one.  It's a real pretty greenish blue.

Definately will put pics up smile

I want to see yours too...or you should get on ravelry biggrin

So, I just read online about the swine flu deaths in children.  I've been kind of back and forth on the vaccine thing, mainly because it's brand new and that scares me.

Anyway, it said that 2/3 of the children that have died have had epilepsy, cerebral palsy, or other neurodevelopmental problems.

Um Hello??!!

So I called the school to talk to my friend, who's the nurse there.  She informed me that Presley's P.E. teacher is out right now because her son has the swine flu.  So, there's already a chance that Presley has been exposed, possibly.  I mean, I know the teacher hasn't sneezed or coughed on her, but I don't know about other kids.  Darlene told me that she'd keep a vigilant watch and that if it got to be too bad she'd call and I could just keep Presley home from school

no cry hmm

I've got a call into the PICU doctor that took care of Presley for so long.  I'm going to ask him what he advises on the vaccine.

Hi girls.

Not a whole lot happening over here this week. Hannah missed school yesterday because her allergies flared up. B is congested this morning and we have a prescribed burn in our area so we are covered with a haze of smoke, not going to help either of my kids feel better.

I went to Old Navy and Target before B's nap. Got the Playtime with Max and Ruby dvd that you can only get at Target (Hannah loves M & R) and I got B's lion costume from ON.

Kent's work is giving free flu shots from 3-5 this afternoon so I guess after we get Hannah from school I need to go get one. blah.

Tomorrow we'll do Costco and Hannah has flight school at church.

Back to work Thursday.

Jenn, i'm so sorry you have to worry about h1n1 Hannah's best friend from kinder was out all last week with it and strep throat too I was scared to death but I think we dodged the bullet... at least so far, before her friend they had announced that there was one case but i'm sure there has been more, I feel like it's probably more a matter of when then if for us. ugh.

I think i'm going to spend my gymbucks on this for B... I LOVE firetruck stuff for him and I think this outfit is so cute! I think I would even use it for a holiday outfit and match sissy to him with a red dress or something.

minus the shoes because they only go to 4 and my boy has some fat little feet :)

Ugh, Jen.

How stressful.

I wonder how many of those kids were already 'sick'. Presley is so healthy, right?

I hope someone can give you some answers and comfort.

Yes.  Food is much more enjoyable when someone else cooks it for that same reason.  I'm so done with the smell by the time it's time to eat, that I'd rather not eat half the time.  At least, I'd rather not eat what's for dinner.  Something else, sure.  Like brownies.

Mark is chomping at the bit to frost the cakes.

I'll let him do one of them, and I'll let Henry do the other one later.

I have set the timer so he'll know when the cakes are cool enough to frost.

They are chocolate cakes.

We have cream cheese frosting.

Yum.
