Hi!

I'm supposed to be cleaning....I pretty much remember all of my costumes. I was an angel, a bunny, half a pair of dice, Raggedy Anne, Laura Ingalls. My Mom always made my costumes and she's started doing that for my kids too! I love Halloween!!

I always hated Halloween.

I guess I've blocked out all my costumes from memory.

Most Halloweens I was sick anyway. Then when I got preteen/teenish, my mom made me answer the door and hand out candy--which I also hated.

It wouldn't have been so bad except that she sat in the background critiquing how I was doing it wrong and how I wasn't acting scared and blah, blah, blah.

I really  need to get on my kiddos costumes this year.

last year someone (Malin maybe) posted something about clearance at the disney store or somewhere.  I had my kids' costumes purchased in August!

This year I just don't know.  I've been looking at princess costumes for Kate but if the weather has been any indication so far this year we could very well be buried in snow by Halloween.

On a happier note, I am checking Henry out of school early today to take him to the zoo!

Our zoo is having a members-only preview of a new section called the Teton Trek, and it starts today.

Henry got in our bed at 6 a.m. because he was too excited to keep sleeping.

I didn't tell him I was checking him out of school; I told him we'd go after school.

My mom is checking John (nephew) out of school, and we're all going together.

Kelley (John's mom) works near the zoo so she is going to try to get off work and come meet us.

My camera battery is charged but my cr@ppy camera only works about 3rd or 4th time you try to turn it on.

I took Mark to a free karate class last night.

It was a private lesson because they wanted Mark to enjoy it and they wanted me to sign away all our money.

Of course Mark loved it.

And he looked SO cute.

I wish I had thought to take pictures.

I'm not sure I'm willing to sign him up for something that requires a 3-day-a-week commitment.

It was $$ but not nearly as $$$$ as it could be, I suppose.

It was less than half the price per month of my friend's dd's cheerleading.

I took Henry just to see if he'd be interested.

100% uninterested.

my oldest has been in karate for years.

yes, it can be very expensive and the time committment is huge.  John could go 5 days per week!

I love seeing those little ones in there in their white uniforms - they look so tiny to me!

What did Mark think about it?
