I can remember lots of stuff before we moved to the house I grew up in. We moved just after I turned 3.
I can remember watching The Edge of Night with my mom.
I can remember playing in the backyard of that house by myself.
I can remember being at my moms bff's apartment and there was a little kitchen fire. I was laying on a big red velvet heart pillow that I adored and I remember being scared. (I was under two for this one).
I remember locking myself in my room accidentally and my dad having to come in the window.
Too bad I can't remember anything about yesterday.
My earliest memory that I can only remember bits and pieces of is from when I broke my femur when I was 2. It was April 1985. That much I know. I've seen the pictures from it..
Polaroid. Oh man. Total 80's.
All I remember is being dropped off at the babysitter's house by my mom. I think at this point my parents had already split up. I remember walking down stairs and my leg really hurting but the babysitter said I had to walk down the stairs...
It was a spiral fracture. I had to have a closed reduction. I was in a body cast up to my arm pits.
Story goes that I was allegedly running around a table while my brother was sitting next to me playing with a truck. I tripped over the truck, went flying, and broke my femur. Not sure if that's all true.
My dad's people said his memory from that time was laying in the hospital bed and saying, "Daddy, I'm stuck."
I vaguely remember a cab ride home after the hospital. Don't know the time frame on that..

My earliest memory is probably my grandpa's grocery store. I don't remember it all in detail but various aspects. I remember the frieght elevator and how it had a big square cut out of the floor where the cables were. I was always afraid I would fall through there. I also remember that the store was pink. In the basement there was this conveyor belt that had boxes on it. He let us ride in the boxes.
My earlies memory that I can think of right now was before we moved into my childhood home. We were living in a mobile home and there were these HUGE dragon flies around (they seemed like 3 feet long) and they would scare the crap out of me.
That or when I was 2-3 ish and fell off of my aunts trampoline and got my leg caught in the ladder on the way down. They took me in to the hospital and since I was so young and couldn't tell them where exactly it hurt I got a cast put on for like 3 days or so.
Just seeing if I can post. Had computer trouble for awhile.
Yay! nice to see you back!
Thanks. My newest problem today is the cooling system. My laptop sucks and I might have to dig out the desktop. Stephen needs to hurry up and learn how to fix it. I asked his computer teacher when he would be ready.LOL
I have a lot of early memories, but I think my earliest was when my sister was a baby. I remember her laying on the floor next to me, watching me, and my mom was sitting on the couch next to us watching TV. Given that my sister wasn't even able to sit up at the time, I had to have been between 18-21 months old.
After that I have several memories that were between then and when my parents divorced when I was just barely 3. I even remember when my grandpa got sick seeing him on his bed. He loved it when I came to visit him and I would sneak out to go see him (we lived in a trailer in my grandparent's backyard. I was 2 1/2 when he died.
I remember when my grandmother died and when Mount St. Helen's erupted (they happened within a month of each other, I was 2 1/2). I had nightmares after the eruption for about 25 years. It wasn't until it started erupting again in 2004 that I realized where the nightmares were stemming from. Once I realized that, they stopped completely. There was an eclipse right around that time, too, and I remember asking my mom why it was so dark ourside. I don't remember what she told me, but I remember that she did tell me and I was fascinated.
I think my earliest memory is when mother went into labor with my brother...I was 3. Not sure if I actually remember it or if someone told me about it, but I think I remember her actually being in pain and the look on her face.
