Morning.

Boys were up by 6am.

I am so getting revenge when they are teenagers.  6am weekend chores, for sure.

Favorite Fall Memory:  High school football games with friends, playing football in the backyard with all the neighborhood kids with tons and tons of leaves on the ground.

gm girls!

my favorite fall memories probably revolve around my years of soccer.  i had the best time with those girls and i really miss being part of a team like that.

it's 8:48 and my kids have been up for about an hour (well jake only 30ish minutes) and they've been fighting for most of that time.  all they ever say is "____ is harassing me!"  :eyeroll:

For me, it's probably from the years that Joe and I were still in school. We'd go to these big bonfires, and snuggle under a blanket and just hang out with friends. We still have a huge majority of the same friends as we did then, and we still occasionally go to bonfires - but it's harder to get the entire group together as we get older, and the vibe is different (although still good) - There was just the crazy carefree vibe, and I wish I could feel worry free for a day again. I absolutely took advantage of it.

Although not being paranoid about getting caught underage drinking is nice, lol.

I have lots of good memories of fall-

As a family we would spread out newspaper and sit on the kitchen floor to carve pumpkins.  We would pick out the seeds and my mom would toast them. Picking out the pumpkins was fun too.

We used to rake the leaves up and then use them to make the outline of a "house" and then play house.

It's also a reason to buy boots! biggrin (I am afraid my daughter has this obsession too).

Bonfires were fun too.

I also happen to be a big fan of squash and pumpkin and my mom would make yummy dishes with them.

Hey ladies!!

I'm getting some work done but I'm FINALLY almost caught up after our trip.  That's until I get a whole new load of crap dumped on me on Monday.  Totally fine with that though... if I'm busy, I feel like I may actually keep my job another day LOL.

20 weeks preggers now and feeling great!  I still get sick once in a while but the nausea is basically gone(except when I smell certain things :puke).  I'm exhausted during the day this time around.  With Meghan, it was really only at night.  And I can feel the baby moving around throughout the day now, which is the best feeling ever.  We go for the big US on Wednesday!  YAY!!  We won't talk about weight gain.  Let's just say I will have my work cut out for me after I give birth (even though I really don't think I'm eating too bad at all! cry).

Meghan is doing great!  She's really blossomed lately and is so fun to be around (when she's not pouting or whining).  She loves school and is also playing soccer.  In the beginning, I thought she was a natural with soccer, but, um, no. LOL  When she realizes what's going on around her, she does pretty well.  The rest of the time, she's looking at her feet, or at everyone around the field, or trying to chat up the coaches, refs and players.  At least she's getting exercise! LOL

Hope everyone is doing good!  I've tried to get on daily to keep up with things.  I'm hoping I'll be able to balance my work hours now that I'm caught up a bit and will hopefully be on more again.  I miss you girls!!

Hi, Diane!

I'm glad you're feeling well, and that Meghan is doing great.

Plus--yay for job security!

I'm here but I'm not here.

Henry was practicing the piano at my parents' house, and now my mom is playing a game of Old Maid or something with him.

So I'm on her laptop.

We'll be going home shortly.

April??

I don't know if you ever read the end of yesterday's thread but Glen informed me yesterday that he and the boys "don't like fun".

So anyway, I forced the boys to go have fun with me today. I took them to our local Fall Festival.

To be continued.

I'm home now.

Well, okay, I've been home for a long time but I'm just now coming back to the computer and MomSquawk.

It was another new iCarly this evening; I really enjoyed it.

So anyway, today I took the kids to our local Fall Festival. It was free to go to it but all the rides and fun things cost money. So I spent $28 there.

We went with Kelley (sil) and John and parked in the McD's parking lot to ride the shuttle to the festival.

When we got back to the van, Kelley suggested that we eat lunch at McD's. $10.

Then I took the kids to the zoo.

Henry's teacher is Mrs. P, and their class is Mrs. P's Pandas so I wanted to get her a panda shirt from the China Exhibit at the zoo. $20

Oh, because her bday is Monday; not just because I wanted to buy her a panda shirt randomly.

And we had to buy feeding sticks for the budgie house. $2.

Forcing my children to have fun is expensive.

My mom found a gazillion Zoobooks magazines at a garage sale this morning.

I showed them to Henry and Mark this evening, and they both loved them.

They have really cute pictures of zoo animals in them.

They also have information but apparently my boys don't care about the articles. ;D

Okay, we read 4 chapters.

Y'all know I don't mind talking to myself.

However, there MIGHT be something decent on TV.

I'll go check in a little while.

There was NOTHING on TV a little while ago.

Memphis is having a special election because the mayor resigned so tonight was the big mayoral debate.

Snoozer.

You know--this weekend where we weren't going to do anything except maybe the zoo has really spiraled out of control.

Today--city festival, McD's, zoo, cook dinner and eat at home, parents' house

Tomorrow--Sunday school, church service, 2:00pm employee picnic for Kimberly's dh's business--she needs a ride so we're invited, Bible study from 4pm - 6pm, possible movie.

Henry was sitting in the living room having a snack of Cheez-Its about 45 minutes ago.

He said really loudly, "I didn't even know I had a loose tooth!"

I looked in there, and he was holding a tooth and his mouth was bleeding.

It took a long time for it to stop bleeding.

Now there's a tooth in the mailbox.

The tooth fairy spent all of her money today and doesn't even have any gift-type item stashed away.

She may have to bring quarters.
