ok, so am i just an idiot or is harder to do one side of your head than the other?

i am right handed - when i do the right side of my head, i'm fine.

when i do the left side of my head, the barrel spins in the wrong direction and makes my hair all frizzy.

wtf do you do to make that not happen!?!?

ok kelly can you do the curls after you straighten it for me. Yeah I want you to get your curl out and curl it again LOL. I saw a thing on youtube and if it really curls that nice and easy I soooo want one.

Weird. Like Kelly said, maybe watch the videos to see the different ways to hold it.

ita with you - i TOTALLY want my hair straight, and then curled.  smooth waves is what i'm after, though i can never quite achieve it.

i really feel like, after watching the video, that i'd be able to get this thing to make waves/smooth curls.  i really want to try it out more but due to my f-ing hair dying fiasco, i'm not "allowed" to flatiron for a while.  once my hair is back on track i'm psyched to damage the hell out of it again trying to get smooth waves - LOL.

thanks girls.

idk wtf is wrong with me. i just can't figure out the left side. when i watch the videos, it looks like the girls are doing the same way that i am, but idk.

i straightened yesterday with the chi (since the instyler hadn't come yet). that means i'll wash again tomorrow.

the main thing i want the instyler for is to get rid of the bulk of the curl in the back before i chi.

having done a trial run yesterday on my straight hair, i can tell that it's not going to leave it as smooth as the chi, but it is giving nice volume.

i'm going to try it this morning on my "bedhead" to flip my hair under and re-style. hopefully i'll like it.

and wednesday night/thursday morning when i wash and straighten, i'll take a few pics.

btw, i saw in the instructions that you can use the instyler on wet hair?!?! is anyone doing that?

i read that too, and i'm doubting that will work on our hair type.  maybe damp? but i doubt it.  maybe they mean for the girls with less curly hair....not sure.
it will definitely get rid of that bulk of curl in the back. i have the same coarse section (right where a baby's hair spirals - my hair is a good 50% thicker and frizzier right there).  it does better on that section than the chi does.  like, SO much better.
it's torture for me that i cant play around with this thing!!!
