I think if Cole never said "I can't" again, I'd be soooo happy :D
Dorian I am in the same boat with the " I can't" in a really whiney voice. And this is mostly said when he is doing something he does all the time. (Shoes, Pants, Shirt, ect.)
But if you want to help him with something new it " I do it" all mean like.
Jennie I would love it K said she needed attention when I asked her why shes acting up. I just get I dunno. Thats pretty impressive for a 4 year old to say imo. I know when K gets more attention she acts better. However I could see it getting old if she used it for EVERYTHING.
for me its either NO or when she talks fake spanish and expects me to understand.
LMAO! Fake Spanish? That's awesome! .
It is impressive but then its an excuse for everything- why he didn't want to eat, clean up his mess, be quiet in church- Literally.
We're in the age of excuses. He's supposed to be picking up those foam puzzle mat pieces he decided to scatter to the winds in the living room. I told him if he finished, I'd let him watch a movie OnDemand. He said, "I can't. My legs are just too tired. I'm so out of breath."
I tell him again to pick up. "I can't go on. I'm too out of breath."
Oh my word. Dramatic much?
K and him must be separated at birth. She can never walk, or open her mouth or raise her fork to her mouth because she is too weak.
I am lmao at thesekids. (sorry for thespacing-comuterissues)
With Anna, I wouldloveto never again hear,"NOOOOOO,KATE!!!!!!!"
With Kate, I would love to never again hear "Well..." She starts everything with that when she is going to givean excuse as to why she can't/won't do something.
Anna iscompletely an excusemakertoo-"I'm toooooo tiiiiired....." "My legs don'twork....." "I can'tgo to school, my eyes won't stay open...." lmao

They'd get along fabulously!
It irritates me so bad when he does this. "I'm too tired." Like that's going to get him out of picking up his mess. Sheesh.
Or my other not so favorite, "It was an accident." Like that also is going to somehow get him out of trouble.
hmmm... i would love if connor would stop calling people "maniacs." i have no idea where he got it, but he is always telling grace "give me that toy, you maniac" and other similar gems. we really really need to watch our mouths around him these days--he had never been one to repeat much until i heard him refer to someone as a "freakin ass" a couple weeks ago. ay yay yay...i am sure that was from me yelling at someone while i was driving-oops.
thankfully, that has been a one time thing so far, but maniac is frequently used.
He's been so upset and kind of snappy since he got home. I don't know how to make him feel better.
What do I do?
Several years ago, Glen lost his job unexpectedly because the company went under. He was also upset and snappy, understandably since he didn't know how we would pay our mortgage.
Just try to give your dh space and try to be understanding when he is snappy. Listen if and when he wants to talk. It's pretty scary to be without a job especially when you have children to feed.
Ok I realize that Monday is over for most of you by now but I just wanted to say that sonya that was a co pletsly inspired question and nice to know that we all have one. Mine is 'oink', he says it at the end of every sentence it seems, and he only says it cause he knows it gets on my nerves... Sometimes he even extends it to 'oinkness' just to prolong the joy.
we have been DYING over here over jake - the other day we were playing, the tv caught his attention and he yelled "OH MY GOD!" holy shiz dude, that is so not ok.
i've been working on him saying "oh my gosh" instead, but he just loves the original version. when he says it, i say, "jake, we do not say that!" and he tilts his head to the side and says "oh my goSH?"
I just cringe whenever he says it and when other people hear him.
He got that phrase from Spongebob.
Sigh.
HA!
another reason why i don't let my kids watch that.
i was teaching the other day and used a clip of spongebob to show plankton as a trickster character. when i told my students that i don't let my kids watch it, they were SHOCKED!
i just know that jake repeats TOO MUCH of what he sees on tv. no ty.
