Weight Watchers ... yay! :)

i started weight watchers last week. i was trying to just "make good decisions" and that wasn't working. my friend and i are going every week to meetings on sundays and she comes over on mondays and we plan meals for the week.

the first week was ... easy. i kept wondering why i haven't done it before. i've decided that i'm doing this to take care of myself more than lose weight, look cute, etc... i need & want to be here with my babies.

so i lost 5.4 pounds my first week smile

anyone else doing weight watchers?

Horray, Sara! 5 lbs is awesome!

I need to get myself back into WW.

Are you doing the online tools as well?

I love the idea of meal planning with a friend for the week. That's great!

I have been trying now since I had Mia and have only really lost 5 lbs. So in 10 months that is not great. I am hoping this will give me a good start. I need to lose at least 20.

have you done ww before? i love it. it's simple, straight forward ... i love it. and like i said they have a good sign up special going now. totally worth the monthly pass if they have it in your area.

before i got pregnant with ben i did it with toni and lost 30 pounds and kept it off until i quit smoking. so now i'm losing cigarette weight lmao.gif

I'm doing it, but I'm doing it alone.  It just works for me to do it that way.  I've been doing it about a month, and have lost 9 lbs smile

GO SARA! GO SARA! GO SARA! GO SARA!
I think you should stick to whatever works out for you.  Five pound in your first week?  That is HUGE!!! Congrats on getting control of your weight!!!

For me you know that JC is what is working.  I find it easier to have meals ready for me and not think what should I make besides cooking for the boys.

THis is it!!! We are going to lose the weight!!!

Even though I'm still feeling a little hurt...

I'm THRILLED for you!!!

That is a great first week! I was actually thinking about that in the car today (how I lost all that weight when we were going together). It made me all sad to remember how easy it felt then, and how hard it feels now.

How did Sue do? And what kinds of meals are you planning?

i have one word for you. wisconsin.  that's all i'm sayin. wink

sue did well, she lost like 1.6 this week. so far we just basically sit around and talk while we plan meals almost independantly. she's a muuuuuch better/more creative cook than i am so i try to steal her ideas. biggrin

the thing that is motivating me right now something stupid dr phil said. he told this one woman that he knew she loved her son so the best thing she could do for him was to take care of his mother. that really made sense to me. it's best for my babies to have a healthy, happy mommy so doing this is for me but really it's for them.
