Henry found a site with at least 100 new words including: malvertising, frugalist, frightmare, slanguist, webliography, frugaltastic, tropism, desk potato, bromance, commando . . .

Hmmm, now I'm wondering if maybe what he found was a site of slang words.

besides couponing, i've also become a nazi about contacting manufacturers about their products (usually if i have a problem) which has been really effective.

a few examples -

i got a defective case of luvs diapers for jake a while back (i haven't bought a box of diapers for him since the spring i think). the tabs would break off on one side while he was wearing them during the day. i called and they sent me 3 $10 off coupons to replace the box. since he is only wearing 1 overnight everyday, i've gotten the last 3 jumbo packs free. :)

last weekend i went to bj's and bought a case of mac n cheese. it something like "family 12 pack" or something on the box. i thought that meant the big family sized boxes of mac n cheese so i bought that instead of the case next to it that i normally buy. when i got home, the boxes inside were actually SMALLER than in my normal case. W.T.F! i called to give them feedback on the packaging and told them that i felt it was misleading about what is inside by calling it "family" - they agreed and mailed me a check to replace the box.

they like to hear from consumers and i'm more than willing to spend a few minutes on the phone for coupons! :)

interesting. I had this same issue with some Luvs not long ago. When I would put them on Kate the tab would pull right off. It was only a handful in the entire box but still. I should have called!

sometimes you need to check their site--they have printables from time to time. i know there was a $5 off one there on sept. 15.

we had a great time at the zoo. the weather couldn't have been better and the kids were awesome the whole time.

watching some football now. need to get moving on laundry and some other household stuff. fun fun fun! :eyeroll:

Its pouring buckets out here today. Parts of the main road we need are starting to flood. Its going to rain all this coming week.

We had a great time in church.

One of the docs who saw me at the practice goes to church there too. She's awesome. She talks to me all the time there. I like this new church. Its still Lutheran but its ELCA vs. WELS which is much more old and strict. Loads of kids.

Colin had a great time too. He was asked to draw a picture of what he thought God looked like and so he drew a giant ear.

They are fishing on the Wii. I am going to get up and get going for dinner. Can't decide between Chicken Kiev or meatloaf.
