Hannah's at preschool until 1:25, and then my mom is bringing her home for me since she is an asst. teacher at the school. Currently I'm just doing housework (I have laundry and dishes going) and enjoying the quiet.
I have a gf on her way over with her kids (Hannah wanted to have a surprise tea party, so I'm surprising her) so they'll be here playing for about an hour before Hannah gets home.
We have a soccer game tonight, and then hopefully Hannah goes to sleep easily - she was a bear this morning.
So, busy day all in all, but at least I got a little down time.
In the van this morning, Mark was telling me that when he grows up, he isn't going to wear shirts with pictures anymore.
"Grownups just wear boring, plain shirts. I'm just going to wear plain shirts or shirts with stripes--ones with a tiny picture of a golf man hitting a horse."
Mark didn't know why that made me laugh.
I wonder if those Polo people know what a disturbing image is on their clothes. :giggle
Working from my parents' house today, we pulled in last night at midnight.
I love it here, it's so peaceful. We're visiting family for a week and a half. Please, if you can spare some positive vibes...I really would love for my house to sell soon so we can move and be closer to this permanently. My patience is really wearing thin regarding the house sale.
i wanted to report that i am in a happy mood. i always come in here and bitch about stuff so today i'm spreading the joy
yesterday i took my kids out to the forest preserve and walked around the lake there. it was gorgeous! then we stopped at the store where all 3 were really well behaved. we came home and played outside some more. then they went to school/nap and after school we went to their favorite park. it was just one of those perfect days.
today i organized my paperwork, paid the bills, balanced the checkbook, took the kids to the grocery store (one of them anyway) and got them ready for school. it's mikey's picture day and while i'm not thrilled with his outfit (no money to shop for new clothes until pay day... today) he will look adorable and i will love it because it's him and it's his first school picture ever.
gorgeous weather, fun with kids, bills paid (on time!) and a semi-clean house. life is good today.
Nothing yet, Jolynn (or that I have heard). We had one inquiry from Germany - someone who is coming over/home(?) at the end of the month.
I feel like we rushed rushed rushed and now we wait.
The tiling is getting done this week - starting tomorrow so I'd really like it to be done before anyone comes to see it. it will look so much better.
that sounds promising! I know what you mean about the hurry up and wait part. I wonder if we missed out on any potential buyers by waiting to get the house all in order before listing. Sounds like even though you didn't get quite everything done first, you did the smart thing by listing right away.

don't you just love those days? i'm so happy that you have such a great day. i hope you get more and often.
so why do I still want to run over and get some coldstone? shouldn't that desire be squashed by freezingness?
coldstone... yummmmm!!!... i got addicted to the chocolate/peanut butter cup combo when i was in hilton head. i always got 2 spoonfuls of peanut butter in mine!
