I teach the baby class at Mother's Day Out at my church. There are 4 babies in there, so far.

Boy/girl twins - Bailey (g) and Brody (b)
Another girl - Hayllie - Yes with two L's in the middle
Boy - Mason

We will be getting another baby girl once she turns 6 months old. Her name is Kaylee.

So our girls will be Baily, Hayllie, and Kaylee.

I thought that was interesting.

p.s. All the babies we have currently are 7 months old.

Kiera's soccer team is Laela, Kayla, Kiera and Riley.  Super confusing.

I no longer stand alone!!!

I noticed yesterday at the preschool end of the church that there were some interesting name combos and one name that stuck out: Cove.

But I saw a Katie-Mei, an Abby-Kate....Oh there was one more that really jumped at me aside from Cove and I can't remember what it was...
There's also a Henry, a Keaton, a Cal....

There are loads of babies. heart.gif

And oddly, no baby fever.

No you do not.

Jennie was Winston  Churchhill's mother.

I always thinks the regional popularity of names is interesting.

Here the Aiden/Caden/Braden/Jayden/Hayden trend is still running strong.

The "ie" spelling isn't that popular.

I've met plenty of Jenn-Y's but never any Jenn-IE's.

I'm named after family.

Here the trend is more the traditional names and the popular names. Lots of Jacobs, Emily's, Emma's, Katie's, Aiden's, Bryson's..Addison. I've met a couple of those.

there are still a lot of sophias and tylers and jacks around here.  lots of maddies, though the names are either madeline, madison, madeleine, etc.
isabella and ava still going strong as well, and i'm hearing a lot of chloes in the 6-12 mo. agegroup.
no major trends here, just some real reigning popularity.

i am very pleased that i havent come across ANY caras at all.  none.  a lot of keiras and kyras and kaylas though - which i think are all beautiful names.

I love looking at the trends in names.  At parent night last night they handed out the show and share rota list and they have done it alphabetically by first name.  One third of Joseph's class has a first name beginning with the letter A (Abby, Aiden, Ainsley, Alexandra, Analise, Anna and Ava) I'd never thought about the starting letter, but out of 21 kids Joseph is 17th alphabetically.

Also it seems like the girls names all are v girly,  we don't have any androgenous names.
