i'm so late on this. i really need to read these threads in more depth bc i apparently suck at keeping up with the toy industry (though my kids are pretty well dressed instead - lol).

R will be getting hello kitty stuff, carebears stuff, and strawberry shortcake stuff (probably the house??) - she's way into those three things and doesnt love electronics, so, easy.
i'll probably get her a new carebears shirt too because hers is too small now.

C will get a doll cradle and probably some HK stuff too, since she just likes whatever R likes - lol. i'll get them each some craft projects too - i love the make-your-own-plate sets and stuff like that, plus books of course. there's also this foldup dollhouse i think C would love.

i'm lucky bc my kids totally dont like a lot of stuff.  you bring them to a toystore and they walk around judging everything - lmao!  if they pick something up, i ask if they want it and they say "not really."
it's hilarious.
i asked R what she wants from santa, and she said "a stuffed bedtime bear" - so i asked her what else, and she said "one for C too" (i'd do :heart but i know she was just thinking about not having to share hers - ha).

Allison is all about the strawberry house. She keeps asking for it. She will be getting that from someone.

I just created a wishlist on Amazon for our extended family and my dad who always ask what the boys like.  I put enough that they get to pick what they want, and tried to only put in items that had free shipping over $25 or free w/prime.  I think they will actually prefer that (ship directly to us, for free, and know exactly what to get).  Feels a little artificial to me, but then again, so doesn't any kind of wishlist, so I'm getting over it :)

I put this on the list, any of which the boys will love:
*Melissa and Doug wooden train set (great price, and interchangeable with our many wooden sets.  Our collection just keeps growing, and the boys still love them)
*Wooden pretend tool set (one Thomas, one Melissa and Doug)
*Melissa and Doug wooden cooking set (pots and pans)
*Melissa and Doug wooden food set   (can you tell I'm loving M&D?)
*Dinosaur zip up mat (it stores play dinosaurs, but unzips flat so it is a playmat too)
*Wooden spelling puzzles
*Wood blocks to add to our current collection
*Go Diego Leapster game
*book: How do Dinosaurs play with their dogs
*book: How do Dinosaurs play with their friends
*Krinkle Block set (bristle blocks, they've changed their name,  same company)

Clearly, I'm on a wooden toy kick, lol.  I just know my family who are generally snobs to all things electronic.  I put Diego on there for the heck of it, there is no way they will but a video game, even if educational lol :)  I'm open to other suggestions too :)  If we had the room, we would be getting a play workshop with loads of tools- but truly, we have no place to put something else in this apartment.

I don't have a lot of ideas yet.  It's tough to buy for Anna too since her birthday is 10 days before Christmas.

I bought Lauren a pink guitar.  She has been begging for a "real" one.  I guess the one with plastic strings wasn't cutting it anymore.
They will both get sleeping bags.  I've seen a few I like but love the PBK ones best but not the price.
Anna is getting a new bed.  She has outgrown her toddler bed so I will also be buying her all new bedding and room decorations.
Lauren loves penguins and plays on club penguin so I am buying her a stuffed pink penguin just like her character.
Some princess dress up stuff for Anna.  I'm hoping to find some good post-halloween sales.
A  bike for Anna.
Some cute kid-appropriate jewelry.  They both love braclets and necklaces so also maybe a jewely box to keep it in.  I remember Avon always having kid stuff.  I will have to check them out.

I hope to get some more ideas.  Why is it so hard to find stuff to buy them now?

clara is still TOTALY into disney princesses.  Disney makes these wardrobe sets - a princess with 4 outfits from the movie.  she already had the ariel, cinderella and belle ones, and they just came out with the snow white set, so i got her that.

and she is really getting into American Girl doll stuff - the big girl doll (just like me) so i got her some furniture and outfits for that.

(thank goodness my mom and dad are each flying out to lux before christmas, so i can use their luggage allowance to get this stuff over - i order the stuff to their house, and they will bring it)

also, i found a mccalls pattern that makes dolls clothes for the 18" american girl dolls - i found a pattern that makes disney princess dresses, so i am gonna make clara a couple of disney princess gowns for her american girl doll - she is gonna LOVE that.

she also gets an original nutcracker doll each year, i get that at a christmas market in germany each year (damn, those are expensive too!)

let see... a few DS games, some LPS stuff, some crafts stuff (cecile does cross stitching, and clara always tries to do hers, and i found a real easy one for clara, she will love that too) and other stocking stuffers.

that's pretty much it.

love your ideas!! I am thinking of getting Snow white dvd for her for christmas so hopefully, I can find a snow white doll too.

So far, she says she wants a kitten (a real one); a bounce house (not gonna happen) and that is all.

I want to get her some more books for her tag reader and some scooby doo toys (she loves him).  and I am going to get her a doll house since right now she has the fisher price my first doll house and she  has out grown that one.  I like the fp bigger one with all the furnishings, etc.  I also want to get her a table and chair set.
