instyler straightener?

my mom just sent me one and i love it.
yesterday i got maybe the worst haircut of my life, and the WORST color (they damn well better be open on sundays bc i'm marching right back for a do-over).
so my hair looks like BUTT and i decided to give the instyler a try.
love it.
my hair has way more movement than it does with the chi, and it didnt "smoke" at all.
i had done my hair curly last night (which looked like ass but i was experimenting with my new awful cut) and the instyler plowed right through them a LOT better than the chi does.
plus it took a lot less time, and there's a brush on it so it grabs the hair way better (thats prob why it got the kinks out better than the chi).
it looks like it's going to be easier to make waves and curls also.
i didnt bother trying that today. i'll experiment soon.
anyway, i dont even know the cost bc my mom got herself one, and i think you get one free? (???????)
my sister ordered one too, and got one free, so this must be the promotion.
but maybe you can split the cost with a friend or whatever, if it's two for one.
i'm really happy with it biggrin

dude, i saw this on rachael ray. they had a girl from the audience try it and she loved it.

plus, the majority of the reviews online are positive.

holy crap, this is soooo motivating me to buy one.

i'm thinking that this might help to get the big curl out of my hair and then i'd follow with the chi.

anyone want to split an order!?!?!?!

april seriously it gets ALL the big kinks out.  it smooths it. i wouldnt even bother chi-ing over it.
the chi does let you get closer to the root, but it definitely doesnt de-kink on dry, non-blow-dried hair as well.  i was getting to the point with the chi (which i love, dont get me wrong) that i had to FULLY blow my hair dry, straight, arms aching with the big round brush, for it to dekink it.
and at that point, i was thinking, why bother with this major heat if i'm blowing it for 45 min anyway.
the chi will always have a special place in my heart, but the instyler is *definitely* getting to places that the chi wasnt touching.

I'll split one with you!  I have a 2 inch flat iron that I HATE and this seems pretty good.

stacy, i'm SO in for this.  do you want to do it?  do you want me to order and ship to you or vice versa?  it's small and light so i'm thinking $5 would cover shipping.

lmk!

YIPPEEEEEEE!!!!  i cannot WAIT to try this!

and skinny milfy kelly - you need to do a before and after with the instyler ONLY.  no chi allowed.  popcorn.gif

I am really curious about this straightener. I checked out the You Tube videos, but somehow I am not 100% convinced. Kelly you have to let me know how your hair holds out in the humid weather.

I am such a Chi person that I cannot imagine any other straightener even coming close, lmao!!

I need pictures!!

alicia, i sort of agree.

but for me, if i had something that could get out 50-75% of the volume and curl i have in it before i hit it with the chi, that would be SO much easier for me!

i figure if i don't like it, i can sell it on ebay or CL for pretty much what i bought it for.

Um, do you all remember laughing at me when I brought this up a year ago. I was watching an infomercial and almost bought it.

That was right, lol. If she buys one she is fair game.

Let me know how it works. The infomercial had me sold, but figured it was a gimic. If it works I would so buy it. The commercial made it look so simple.

you guys, at least for my hair, it kicks the chi's ass.
for me it's always been "brush = poison" for my hair....
but this totally smooths EACH HAIR out because every hair is getting individual treatment.

no B&A pics from me unfortunately.
i went to a new hair dresser yesterday and she had to STRIP my hair color that that guy did on saturday (it was literally black/eggplant, and had to be stripped to get back to my ALREADY DARK brown hair) - so i had a bleach bath stripping, then full head of highlights, and then brown color.
the color looks great, but my hair is pretty shot and she said NO STYLING, MINIMAL WASHING for a few weeks.  so i'm in a ponytail with deep conditioning masks until i get back on track.  as soon as i do, i'll do B&A, but by then you guys might have an instyler already!!

i do have a wedding this weekend and have to cheat and straighten my hair, so maybe then i'll take pics....depends on what i end up doing. i might just dry it straight back, skip the straightener, and wear it all up - we'll see. ug!!! i dont want to damage my hair AT ALL at this point!  :(

I just bought a new flat iron, by Babyliss, and it blows the CHI OUT OF THE WATER!

My hair is naturally curly, and this thing straightens it better than the CHI ever thought about..

i've never had a brush either. i still dont.
i dont even have a pick.   when i was in HS i'd comb the conditioner in the shower through with a VERY large toothed comb, but then i even stopped that.
i never heard of the other straightener you found...going to look it up.

just checked this link - LMFAO!!!
i'm going to ask my hairdresser friend today what she thinks about the instyler.
she's a preschool mom.
(btw, she thinks i should sue the hairdresser who dyed my hair eggplant....i'm not that type at all, but she was APPALLED that i had to have my hair stripped!)
