Reviving Ophelia: Saving the Selves of Adolescent Girls (Ballantine Reader's Circle)

Anyone read this book?

Many of our girls are far off from this, but as women we can read it and prepare for what awaits us. I thought it was pretty good.

Think this would be good for pre-teens..specifically 11yo? I'm trying to find some good books for Keely about being a girl/woman and something she could learn from. She doesn't have to do AR in midlle school, so I neeed to stay on her to read...and some of her friends are reading things I don't think is appropriate yet...like Twilight---I've not read it, but it doesnt seem something right for 6th graders.

BTW....I LOVE your siggy...A is gorgeous, they both are but that pic of Allie is just too much!

IT is very good for pre-teen, but you may want to read it first. It is real life stories of teens and what they went through.

Thanks, I love that pic of Allie too.
