I just reread my response and wanted to say that the thing I enjoy most is watching her play and looking at the world through her eyes, kwim?  She is soooooo creative and such a happy child when playing.  she reminds me of the joy of childhood and how carefree it should be and I always want to keep her my little girl heart.gif

basically....I love watching her grow!

I LOVE to watch them swimming.  It takes my breath away.  Not because they are the best but because I see all the effort they put into it.

I LOVE to dance with them.  We always have a blast with music.

I LOVE to watch movies with them and see their reaction.

And I love how much we all talk.  One moment my oldest is asking me about sex while the next Diego want to know when he can have a girlfriend and Marcos is asking when Mickey is coming to see him.  I love our conversations.

My fave thing is when the girls put me to bed and make me stay there, lmao!!!

No, seriously, I do think it is fun when they do those kinds of "I'll be mommy" games (though they fight over who gets to be mommy). It is so facinating to me to see myself through their eyes, and thankfully, I don't see anything *too* bad-though I do get toys taken away from me a lot.

I love to color/draw with them. And I love playing play doh with them-they think I am a play doh rock star, lmao.

I love to talk with them, especially Anna because she has such an interesting take on the world at this point. I love it when they tell me something I have always known and taken for granted like it is the biggest news in the world.

I love when Anna helps me in the kitchen (but not kate-she is still just a tad too young for this, and I get a little antsy trying to figure out how much more of something to add because she dumped some of it on the counter). Anna loves to help me get daddy's lunch ready for the next day.

I love just sitting back and listening to them and watching them play. When they are getting along, that is. In those moments, it is just pure joy for me. I dread the day when everything they do together is behind closed doors and away from me.

I love going places with them and seeing their faces light up over a new discovery. One of my favorite moments of the summer was seeing Kate so excited over a sleeping Panda at the zoo.

I love when Kate wants to play hair salon or doctor's office-she is so funny about it-and so serious, and so gentle with her patients/clients!!

There are so many things...they are such amazing people!!! heart.gif

i LOVE snuggling with him.  he comes in every morning and we snuggle in my bed for about 10 minutes before we get up.

i love watching movies together

i like reading to him

i like just being silly and hearing him laugh

i like to take him to feed the ducks on the canals

i like going to the park

i like hide-and-seek

i love just sitting and talking, even though it is hard for me to get him to talk about things in depth

i like taking walks with him but he is the slowest walker in the world, so i only really enjoy it when i REALLY want to take a walk and i'm not in a hurry to get someplace

I love coloring with them and trying to figure out what they drew giggle.gif

I love reading to them.

I love going to the zoo with them or taking them on walks in the forest preserve and experiencing how they see nature. Caroline loves this kind of thing and it's really fun to do with her.

I love snuggling with them - Mikey is an especially good snuggler.

I love when they learn something new - like when Bennett learns a new word - it's such a miracle.

I love goofing around and talking with Jake - he's just such a fun person and it's so shocking how grown up he is already.

I love hearing them say "Mommy! I did it all by myself!" I love that pride heart.gif

I love when we get time just one on one - it's not often but I can pay such close attention to them and they just love it.

I love the names they make up for things - Caroline named a toad she found in the yard - his name was filthy. She also named a toy turtle sicko. she doesn't realize it's a word and thinks she made it up giggle.gif  Mikey calls the hospital "the poke house"

ok, I could go on - the good things about my babies far outweigh the bad.

This might sound weird but I really like the messy stuff!  If they are painting or using markers I love it!

I like to read when they sit down and listen.

I like to do the seek and find books with Jake.

I like to do the snap n style dolls with Kate.

I like to do "pedicures" with Kate :heart

I like to sit in the sandbox with them.

I like pushing them on the swing (but mine only stay on for a few minutes so maybe that is why!)

I LOVE sidewalk chalk.  LOVE.IT.  We make hop scotch, draw a house complete with the whole family.  I practice Jake's letters, numbers and shapes with it.

I love when we all go to a park as a family and they can run until their hearts are content.

I agree the good by far outweigh the bad!!!

I love when M2 and I cook together.  He's gotten really good about helping.  When I bake somthing he likes to mix everything together.  Or I'll measure the ingredients and he'll dump them in the bowl.  We also cook breakfast together on the weekend.  His favorite thing I think is breaking the eggs, or maybe mixing the pancake mix.

I also love to play playdoh with him!

I love doing puzzles with him.  I love when he figures out where a piece goes with no  help from me.  Seeing the pride it brings him is priceless.

He's also recently started playing card games.  Those are fun.  It's more fun when he's in a good mood, so he doesn't get mad if he looses.  He's funny though, sometimes when I loose, he'll be sad because he wanted me to win!  heart.gif

We've been playing baseball in the yard, that is fun also.

Swimming, bike riding, camping, pretty much anything outdoors..

i love my time with rachel. she's so bright and chatty and i just feel like i can really have real conversations with her.

my favorite thing right now is exposing her to all new kinds of music (ie, my music, not kids' music. we're off kids' music 100% in this house).  we heard a cure cover in babygap the other day and she goes "wow, this is the cure, but that's not robert smith!" - YESSS!!!
i love sharing the whole music thing with her.
she recognized michael stipe featured in an indigo girls song (kid fears) the other day and then i sat with her on youtube and we watched michael stipe with kate pierson in shiny happy people, which led to a whole thing on the B-52s, and then of course to iggy pop - she absolutely loves seeing WHO's singing.
and i have a huge gwen stefani fan in cara - she adores her.  rachel says she's wearing "bear ears" (ya know how she does those high rollers on top of her head - lmao).

i cant really even list what i love to do with my kids. our best times are when we are just all talking and i see them making connections.

i love project type arts and crafts with them (painting a birdhouse/ making cement stepping stones, suncatchers) rather than coloring, etc--i just love the pride i see in them after their creation is complete.

i love going on picnics...pretty much all "outings" that are kid friendly, i enjoy (shopping, not so much).

i love when the three of us go to dunkin donuts--connor insists on getting in line himself and picking out/paying for his own donut. it is so cute and makes me realze how fast time is speeding by!

I love to watch my kids play.  They do and say some completely hillarious things sometimes.  And watching the relationship between Brenna and Brittany is absolutely fascinating.  I've never seen anything like it.

I like to talk with my kids.  Rebecca says things that are profound and it amazes me every time.  Crystal is very funny.  She could be a stand up comedian if she works a little at it.  Kyle is nearly always excited about everything he talks about.  It's catchy.  Brenna tells me all about everyone else.  Brittany is just fun to watch when she talks.  She's so serious but says funny things, too.

I like to show my kids new things.  Their excitement rubs off on me.

I love to ride on rides with Rebecca and Brittany.  They're both dare devils like me.  Rebecca goes on all the extreme rides with me and Brittany loves anything I put her on so I'm sure she'll go on everything with me when she gets older, too.  In the meantime I go on the kiddy things with her and listen to her excitement.  It's too bad we don't live closer to an amusement park....

I love to hold Brittany on my lap and play with her hair.  My other kids have never let me do play with their hair and I've always wanted to.  Brittany loves it, though, so I take full advantage of it.

I like to massage my kids' feet, but they rarely let me.

I love to watch my girls dance and watch Kyle in his tae kwon do class.  It makes me feel good to see them do so well.  All my kids dance at home but as it tends to end in fights with Kyle involved, it's not as pleasant as watching them in class.

I love taking Christopher to places: park, birthday parties, playdates, kids concerts, circus, story time at the library, etc.

I love reading to him

I love watching him play by himself or with other kids

I love when he's telling me about his day

I love taking him to Coldstone and watching him eat his favorite ice cream creation

I love exposing him to new things and watching how he'll react

I love flying with him on the airplane

So many things... I'm sure there are more heart.gif

I love showing them things in nature. Especially taking them out in the snow and having fun. Watching them with animals is great too- I remember how it felt to have a pet when I was young so it makes me happy to see them experiencing the same things :) !
