So...

We need a new car that seats 6 or more.  Problem is, Bert hates SUV's and cars that are up high.  *sigh*  so we can't agree. (keep in mind, it's "my" car, he still keeps his bmw coupe for himself...)

I had to give back my company car, a BMW wagon, and for now i am driving a temporary car, a suzuki swifr - small, zippy, and perfect for getting around town - i quite love it!

so.. last night we are in bed, bert grabs the laptop and starts telling me i need to get a van.  not a cute can, but a big utility van.  he was showing me these huge boxy vw "multivans".  i was thinking ohmygod, but was so tired i went to sleep,

so fast forward to this morning and i am alone in my little swift running errands and i start thinking about these effing vans and how much i love my little car and i totally burst into tears...

so i call bertrand from the car and i start sobbing to him that i HATE bigass vans and he cant make me buy one.

and he is like "honey, wtf is wrong with you, why are you hysterical?"

so i scream "because i'm pregnant!!!!!!"

he starts laughing at me, and i hang up.

Ugh, men! ITU why you wouldn't want a huge van. Its such a huge change after even being in a BMW wagon. Why can't you get a normal van instead? And why is he so gung ho on not getting a SUV if its your car? You should be able to choose. I don't think I am being much help. I am totally in agreement with you...I think you need to give him a big tall glass of stfu. biggrin

Sorry!

Eric also wants a BIG van! I just want a mini van and everytime we look he only shows me these huge 12 seaters! BLAH.

I am just worried we won`t get one in time for the little one. With dh not working we have gone through our savings and well lets just say we don`t have enough to cover any of our bills this month. His unemployment just kicked in last week..........

This morning I was trying to find some paperwork and couldn`t find it anywhere and finally when I did find it I just started bawling my eyes out.... crazy.

I can`t stand the hormones and they just seem to be getting worse.

:hug

OMG poor you. Men don't understand.

Hey how about a good old fashioned station wagon with the bench seats in the back that face eachother. lmao.gif

How fun were those when we were kids!? Of course it was more fun because we didn't have to wear seat belts.

the problem that he has with 7 seaters, most SUV's - is that there is pretty much no luggage space.

we will to a lot of travel - to berts parents, to my bro in germany, and we like road tripping for weekends to different cities - we need 6 seats AND luggage space.

that is his issue with the mercedes station wagon we were looking at as well (its a 5 seater with the trunk space opening up to 2 really decent seats facing backwards looking out the back window.... the kids love that, but there is zero trunk space then - volvo's have the same in their wagons as well)

when we were in the states last week, we rented a toyota mini-van.  it was a 6 seater with sliding doors on the 2 sides and a HUGE trunk in the back - it fit 5 big suitcases and 4 carry ons with wheels.  it was great.... BUT toyota does not sell that model in europe.

i think what we really are suffering from here is that europe simply does not sell those huge gas guzzling full size SUV's and mini-vans.  *sigh*

even BMW has a SUV - but it is only a 5 seater.

ihni what we are going to do!!!!

(oh, did i mention it also needs to cruise comfortably at 90-100mph on the highways?)

Can you not have one of those shipped over to you?

We had some neighbors that were here for two years and bought some cars and it was actually cheaper for them to ship them home then to sell them and start again.

I hav esome friends here that went to Sweeden (I thin k?) and bought Audi's and shipped them here.

I think it's time for a luggage rack. My sister has 4 kids and they travel a lot in their mini van. They wouldn't be able to fit everyone and everything in without the rack with the luggage on top.
