Oh yes!! Megan, I would say "GO BLUE" in response to your go bucks, but that isn't looking like much competition this year, lmao.

Still, I will only say Go Bucks when they are playing out of conference...otherwise, I hope you all get whipped!!!! ;)

Ugh.  Is he on abx now?  Is this his first?

This reminds me that I wanted to ask you, and everyone else too, do you put your kids on pro-biotics or give them acidophilus when they are on abx?  I never have before, but think I will in the future when they inevitably have to be on abx (though Kate hasn't yet-just a prescription cream for a rash.  Anna has been on them like 3 times!!!)

He is on ammox.  No, this is his second.  He had the first when he was around 6-7 months I believe.

No, I have never put them on anything else.

Bryce was on them a ton until he got tubes.

But really other than that they all three have only been on something a handful of times.

I remember you talking about Bryce's issues until he had tubes.

I probably wouldn't think about the probiotics, except Anna has always had trouble with constipation, and that coupled with my own disease (which was triggered by overuse of abx), and I think it couldn't hurt to give her something like that if/when she ends up on them again.  At least give her lots of yogurt or something.  I want to keep her gut in balance if I can.

And one of the times she was on them was for a full month because that was when she had the bullseye rash and they suspected lyme. (it came back negative, but they said the tests aren't very reliable-they started her on the abx before we even had the test done)

I am glad Kate hasn't had to be on any yet, but that means i still worry for when she eventually does.  She is a lot more like me, and I have a lot of drug allergies!

Anyway, I am glad you know Keegan's behavior is because of the ear infection.  That sucks though!!!  I hope he gets back to feeling good very fast.

the USC game will be huge for us - that's the week before illini.

we are supposed to win the conf - but the big 10 has gotten so much shit these past years, i dont think that mean much *sigh*

i dont think the buckeyes will do great nationally... we have terrell pryor who is wonderkid, but our defense is weakened. and we will totally miss some seniors like beanie wells... for me its a tossup.

keegan can not have yogurt due to his allergies.

my other boys love it and will keep that in mind for when they would get on antibiotics again to push that a little more.

jake got his first black eye today at school.

apparently he was running (:brow:) and caught his eye on the corner of a cabinet in his classroom. they called to let me know what happened and i thought they were calling b/c i needed to take him for stitches. when she told me it was just going to be black and blue, i told her that i was thrilled. lmao. stitches would not have made my day!

Poor Jake on the black eye.

There was a similar incident Monday at Mother's Day Out.

A little girl fell on the playset, and her eye caught something.

There was a big purply-blue mark on the bone under her eye--like a broken blood vessel.

It looked HORRIBLE but she didn't even cry so it must not have hurt too much.

Her teacher had to call and tell her mother though because it was definitely going to be a shiner.

It is 8:11 p.m.

My kids decided they wanted to swim in the wading pool before we went to church for choir.

It didn't get "full enough" so we left the water on when we left, and Glen was going to turn it off when he got home.

That was supposed to be about 20 - 30 minutes.

Well, when we got home from choir, the pool was completely full to the top.

My kids could not resist the temptation, and they both put on swimsuits and went out there to play.

I just got them inside 10 minutes ago.

They were FROZEN.

Is anyone around this evening?

Right now, Glen is on a "Touched by an Angel" kick; it is always on TV when he's here.

I am so ready for my children to go to bed.

They're not even being horrible. Yet.

Glen just told me how negative we are in our checking account right now, and how much his check is going to be.

Um, let's just say we won't be in the black even after he gets paid.

I said, "What in the world did we buy??"

It was lots of little things--not the least of which were the medical bills from Glen's most recent completely unnecessary ER trip.

Then he told me that we started out the last 2 week pay period negative as well.

No wonder we're so negative now.

Crazy, stoopid economy.

p.s. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that we don't budget so shush.
