i love that you are anal about that stuff like me!  i get even more peeved with i specifically put the stuff on the conveyer belt in the "right" order, and between the bimbo cashier grabbing stuff out of order and the duche bag bag boy it ends up all fucked up anyways.

over here in lux they passed a law that all throwaway plastic bags are taxed about 5 cents a bag - so you have to "buy"  them if you forget your recyclable ones.  i know some people complain about having too many laws, but this one makes sense to me as people are so wasteful and lots dont really care about the environment.

i was shocked in the US last week about how wasteful they are with plastic bags - they put, like, one big box of cereal into a bag and thats it - they load it in the cart.  i have a half a cart of stuff and end up with over 20 bags!!!

at hilton head they were so bad at bagging our first trip to fresh market, all the next visits i asked to bag it myself and they let me :)

omg, lmao!  i put stuff on the belt like that too!  :hi5:  i put all the frozen stuff together, fresh produce together, boxes for the pantry together, etc.

and ita about the bags.  i don't use bags in the produce section unless that stuff is wet from the sprinklers over there.  i know the cashiers probably hate it, but i hate wasting all that plastic!

How funny-I put things on the belt that way too!

I never use plastic anymore-if I happen to forget my bags, I ask for paper.  Only one store around here doesn't have paper regularly, and one of them ONLY uses paper-you have to ask for plastic there.

I do use produce bags a lot though-but I recycle them.

When I first got my reusable bags, I was one of the first, it seemed!!  But now I see lots of people using them.  I think it is great!!

i use plastic for jake's morning poop dipes still.  when that's over, i'll try to remember my reusable bags.  right now i SUCK at remembering them. :bag:

It took me a long time too to remember them.  We still have a diaper pail (obviously, since we have Miss Refuses to potty train over here, lmao), so I don't need them for dipes.  But I can hardly wait to get rid of that rank thing.  YUCK.

I adore the reusable bags.  I use them for everything!!!!

laura, those scanner things sound neat. all we have around here is walmart's stupid self checkout and that thing just ticks me off the majority of the time because it is so dayum slow.

 ita

it's fine if you have just a few things, but if you have a lot, you hear "please wait for assistance" a gazillion times

I put my things in order like that on the conveyer belt too!  How funny that we all do that!

have i complained in here about my finger yet?

if so, i'm sorry, but i'm complaining again.

it is hurting me ALL.THE.TIME now.

idt it's broken.  i'm worried it's like a tendon injury or something.

i'm finally going to the dr tomorrow afternoon, but he'll just send me for x-rays, so i won't have any answers for a few more days at least.

dammit.

what did you do to it?

i had not heard about the aching finger.

ihni.

so dumb.

there had better be something wrong with it though after all these months of pain!

Wow-I have to say I am very surprised that no one else seems to have the self scanners!!!

I hope they keep them because I love them. But I don't see many people using them. IHNI why. They even offer some scanner-only coupons, which is nice. I really don't get why they don't get more use!!

i haven't either.  What kind of pain is it?

idk!  it's definitely an ache inside the knuckle.  all through and around the knuckle.

i only broke 1 bone - and that was my hand last year, but this pain seems different then that, so i'll be surprised if it's broken.

The self checkouts can be a pita.  There are some stores that are worse than others, for sure.  But I will say that with the scanners, the self checkouts are awesome because you don't have to wait in line, or scan anything but your card and the scanner.  It goes so fast!!

I wonder if people don't use the scanners as much because they don't have their own bags.  IDK.

Today is the start of week 3 of my WW, and I've lost 7 lbs!!  I thought that since I was still breastfeeding, now would be a good time to do it since I get all these extra points biggrin

Too bad I didn't start this earlier.  I only have 2 weeks until my 20th reunion, and if I had started earlier, I could've been skinnier, lol

i hope that's not it - i'm going to have to live on pain meds for a very long time!

Kenley is now cutting her 4th tooth, and the one I was talking about the other day, is definitely her eye tooth, because this one is her top middle one.

Keegan is...oh yeah...the boy is still all gums and will be 13 months tomorrow! wink(this winky guy looks freaky to me)

He does at least have whites underneath the gum now.

How odd she is cutting her eye tooth.  What ones does she have?

my middle finger was doing that a while ago.  it hurt like heck when i would bend it, or grab something with that hand, and it did that for months.

it went away all of a sudden though, so i don't know what it was.

she has her bottom two center ones.  Then the other day she cut her right eye tooth (weird huh?), then today the top middle one on the right side was showing.

Kenneth's just glad that she's cutting the middle one on the same side as  the eye one she was cutting.  He said he didn't want her to have a messed up grill giggle.gif

ETA: and lucky for you he's still all gums, because these teeth are KILLING my right boob

I wish we had those self scanner things. It would make my grocery trip more kid friendly. Although the more I think about it, the more I think I would end up with more items scanned than the actual amount of items in my cart. LOL Sounds convenient though. I suck at remembering to take my reusable bags to the store with me. I have four of them, which normally will hold everything (minus milk and OJ).

Re: cole slaw haters and also lovers...my mom is on the Nutri system diet and they have recipes online that she wrote down. There was one with chopped cabbage and it said to add apple cider vinegar. Sounds weird, but it tasted great. It also had you add dijon mustard. It was so yummy!!!! And apparently low on "points."

My fav time of the day is naptime and/or when the kids are in bed at night. Its the only quiet time I get. My house is super loud all the time too.

Sara, that is so funny that Keegan still doesn't have one tooth! LOL I love the gummy baby grins though. They are so cute!

Juanita, I remember when Aubrey was getting her teeth, they were coming in funny like that too. She got her canines before the teeth that are right next to the front two. They'll fill in before you know it though.

April, I hope you can get some relief for your finger. I can't believe you start back school tomorrow. So crazy!! The kids here started back last Monday. Who ended up getting shoes at SR today?

Austins potty training is well...going. Its not progressing really quickly, but he is still telling me throughout the day that he has to pee, so I guess thats something. I am still just shocked he is even interested in the potty at all. Poop is another story. He will go in his dipe and then come find me. LOL Aye kids!

LOL I believe you. I am sure it was odd to see them coming in "out of order" but its just like everything else with kids...all in their own time. : )

I got my doppler in the mail this morning and got to hear the baby's HB. It was so awesome. My next ob appt isn't until Friday and I haven't had an appt since the end of July, so i was so anxious to hear it. I sent a voice recording of the HB to dh. He loved it. Its crazy how on board he is about the new baby now...its nice.  :  )
