I really like the mornings when everyone- and I mean EVERYONE- including DH are still asleep and I can steal a cup of coffee and slip out onto the front porch. The front of the house faces the main, main road. We're up on a hill and the sun rises up and over the front of the house so I can sit on the front porch and watch the sun rise. Its awesome and amazing. Especially with the birds and the rabbits, etc. I love watching the hummingbirds flit around the flowers. :)

i've decided i'm not doing much today.

i'm letting the kids watch tv and eat junk food and i'm not going to feel guilty about it.

when i feel better i'll do better.

right now the kids are smiling, mikey took his medicine for the morning and i'm about to put caroline & bennett in the bath.

all is well.

So we have been frequenting this forum that is especially for guinea pig owners, and it is INSANE.

They have super strict rules, and will be banned from posting if you are not a grammar rockstar.

They forbid: mispelled words, improper capitalization, run-on sentances, and use of slang or "chat speak."

I just want to type, you people spend your entire day playing with guinea pigs, and you are judging others???

Crazy!

omg, this made me snort.

they are guinea pig snobs.  lmfao!

I can't believe you go back to work tomorrow either!  This summer absolutely flew!  We never made it to the zoo cry.

How was the game last night?  I'm sure they loved it!   Meghan has been begging to go see the Yankees but the friend that Mike knows that can get tickets never came through.  Boo!

i know.  we'll definitely get together this fall.  i owe my sister AND my dad a trip up there.

the game was really fun!  the kids did great surprisingly - it was really late!

i've heard that tickets at the new stadium are CRAZY expensive!

Hi everyone!!

My fave time of day is night. I have always been a nightowl, even when I was a tot, my mom said I was a nightowl (lucky her).

I love the time from 10pm-1am, and it is very very hard for me to adjust to going to bed earlier so that I can get up and do my workouts in the AM. I am missing out on my favorite time!

I can hardly wait until the kids are older and I can stay up later again. Of course by then, I will probably be like my parents and not be able to stay awake that late...

(the kids will LOVE that I stay up late and can easily monitor curfews, lol!)

Good morning!

I am a night owl, so favorite time of day is from 10pm until I go to bed. Yawn since I get up before six most days.

Hi 5!!!  I so love the night...

I am with Toni and Sonya-coleslaw is about nasty.  Blech.

And I lmfao at the guinea pig forum.  That is too much!!!

I started today getting up when Bill leaves to come down and do my workouts.  I was really struggling to get them in, and I felt like it would be a good way to start the day.  It sucked because I am not used to getting up that early (he leaves by 7 at the latest, which is dayum early for me), but I was glad I did it.  And it is so nice to be done with it!!!  A lot of the reason though is because school is starting, and I think it will be easier to get up and get moving to get us all out of the house if I workout first.  Plus then I don't have to worry about working out while they are in school, and I can actually make some good use of the time.

I am a bit tired now though...

We went to the grocery store today. We went to Giant, and we used the scan it thing. It keeps them entertained, being able to scan the items. Anna likes it better than the Safeway, which has the TV carts. Kate likes the TVs, lol. But then we had an item audit, which was annoying (they do that randomly throughout the day to people-it happens to be every couple of months) and it ended up taking longer than it should have.

It is a GORGEOUS day here. A little taste of fall, and I LOVE it!!!

Jennie, I am sorry about your brother and SIL. I would insert an emoticon here, but I don't know them. That really sucks though-did he say something about it?

Its 66 degrees outside!

All my windows are open. Its raining outside and a bit breezy so I get this nice breeze. The doors are open. The windows on the storm doors are up a little. The ceiling fans are on lightly. Mmm.

Its so odd to be August and having to wear jeans!! But I love it since I've lost this weight and the pants fit and feel great!

No. I was on his MySpace page to leave him a comment saying hello and this completely random girl was all, "Hi honey. I miss you. I lost your number." All her comments are "Hi babe." and "I miss you." He's in Israel right now.

ETA- And my SIL's profile picture is of her in a slinky black dress in the arms of a Marine. ???

Don't rightly talk to my brother much. We're an odd family but I don't think their behavior is exactly appropriate if they are portraying themselves to the rest of the family as a married couple. I just talked to my grandparents a couple weeks ago and asked about my brother and SIL and they said they were doing wonderful- that my brother was in Israel and my SIL was doing ER rotations and very busy but they were very happy and that maybe one day they'd settle down soon and have children...That she had just joked with him the other day before he left that he'd be 80 before he and SIL had children and he just laughed and said "Probably."

I don't like lying and I don't like cheating.

Ugh. So I did what every nosy, over involved sister with loads of time since her kids are napping does- I message the girl

I am committing to lessening my stress this year when the holidays come around. The past two years have started flares for me that have taken months to get under control, and 2 years ago landed me in the hospital.

So I am thinking I need to make sure I put myself first and not get as caught up in the stress of the season.

I wonder if Anna will watch White Christmas with my mom and me this year?

No! No kids! Thank goodness!!

Too busy for kids. Career Army. He's always gone. She's always gone. They are never home.

They have a dog if that counts but someone else is always taken care of it.

lmao.  Don't any of your grocery stores have that kind of thing?  You scan your bonus/club/savings/whatever it is called in your store card, and they have this rack of self scanners, like you would get when you register.  They have plastic and paper bags there, or you can use your reusables, and you go through and scan your items as you shop, bag them, and then when you check out, you just scan this barcode, and your card again, scan coupons and that is it.

They do the audits where they randomly scan like 3-5 items in your bags, to make sure you have what you are supposed to and not anything else.  It has only happened to me a handful of times at most.

IDK if it saves a ton of time, but it is fun for the girls, and you can checkout quick usually-you can do the self checkout lanes and be on your way in maybe a minute!
