We are getting SO country-fied. We keep accumulating animals, which is driving me batty.
We now have: - two guinea pigs (Snickers and Orea), who live in a huge 3 ft x 5 ft cage in our basement
-One dog (who is huge and sheds black hair everywhere)
-Two kittens (who we just brought home this week, and whose favorite activity is throwing cat litter out of their litter box....my poor vaccum has been working overtime). We named them Milo and Dash (Dash is Dani's cat; we wanted to let them name the cats all by themselves, but they would have ended up being called Shark and Wildcat, so George and I intervened).
I would love to post pictures, but my camera cord is missing.
I think that's fantastic but it has to take a lot of work. I always thought of myself as someone who would have a lot of animals but as of now, we have a fish. We may get a cat after we get from Disney since we had a mouse(or mice :PUKE:) in the house a couple weeks ago.
The other (and more major) point I wanted to discuss with dh is his unwillingness to work on a doable budget right now.
He thinks that we couldn't possibly pay off stuff/save money until _________________.
Fill in the blank with: he pressures me to start teaching full-time or he gets a winning lottery ticket or he gets a massive promotion and raise at work with a giant bonus.
He's so hard-headed that I'm not sure I can make him realize the error of his thinking.
If we can't manage our money with the little we have now, how are we going to do it if/when we get more?
Ugh.

Good luck Robin! I expect Mike to be sitting me down for the same convo pretty soon LOL. We aren't saving any money since we moved into the house. Something seems to come up every month.
Does he really want you to go back to work? Is it something you'd want to do. I think it would probably have to be when Mark is in school full time, right?
Good morning! I usually use dove and try to buy the unscented. I am not big on the way most of them smell. I must have a sensitive nose because I swear some scents are all I can smell when I wear them.
Looks like there's lots going on today.
Sonya you have a full plate! Your food idea is a great plan. I know you might think I am crazy, but when it got down to the end, I would always pack everything in the kitchen but the bare minimum. I have been known to use plastic silverware and paper plates for the last week or so.
April I hope you are having fun with your dad.
Toni school can be a pita for sure. Do you think you could test out of a class?
Sara how is Mikey doing today?
Robin it sounds like Henry is storing his growth energy in his booty and is going to shoot up some more!
I am using Dove...It smells like cucumbers and green tea.
I bought it at Sam's Club b/c it came in a three pack with a bottle of body spray. I really just wanted the body spray. Sad, I know.
That and I was tired of using DH's deodorant.
Every time we went grocery shopping, I forgot to add deodorant to the list for myself so I wound up using his. Finally got myself when we went to Sam's Club a couple months back.
I like it. It smells pretty.
Not brand loyal. I buy what smells pretty.
Its a moot point these days. I don't sweat thanks to the Topamax.

No, I do NOT want to work full-time.
Ever, really.
But I know Glen is under the impression (without consulting me) that I'm going to be teaching full-time when Mark starts kindergarten.
I have ZERO intention of working full-time when Mark starts kindergarten.
I want to be able to do the same stuff for him that I did for Henry when he was in Kindergarten--reading to his class, helping with parties, having lunch with him in the cafeteria.
I think I would like to start subbing at the elementary school when both my kids go there.
I'd really like to start that now but I'd need last-minute childcare for Mark on days that I worked, and my mom said no.

That sounds so fun!
What's the dog's name?
I'm not sure "fun" is the word I would have chosen....maybe smelly. Ya, smelly is the word I would pick.
Our dog's name is Jacques, pronounced "Jack", and he's by far my favorite pet. I just love that dog; he follows me around and sleeps on the floor by my side of the bed. He's like the son I never had .

That's funny, because I always thought of myself as someone who would never have animals, lmao!
We got the kittens mainly to have them as mousers. When they are bigger, we are going to teach them to hang in the barns and outhouses to keep them mouse-free, and also have them clean out our basements.
I hate the idea of using poisons and traps with the kids and dog around. These guys should help us avoid that.
Plus, they are so adorable at this age (turned 4 weeks old yesterday).
You've had more animals than me for as long as we have known each other.
Yee-haw my foot!
(But I think it's a sign that you are better suited for the country. Wisconsin is beautiful this time of year!)
ok so i have one dog & two cats.
you have 2 rodents, 2 cats & a dog.
and rest easy - i think we're staying here for a bit. long term goal is still to move to cali but we're thinking we may stay here until jake finishes high school. seems dan is keen on moving until I am - then he changes his mind.
it's totally silent in my house. just the sound of a neighbor on the next block mowing the lawn.
no tv. no fighting. no crying. no whining. aaaahhhhh
i wish i felt good. i would totally be deep cleaning.
i have that kind of cold where i feel ok until i start moving around - then i'm out of breath, tired & feeling crappy.
Ick, that stinks.
Just use the time to rest, and maybe you'll feel better.
Are you taking anything, like Cold-Eaze? That sometimes helps (sometimes.)
i'm not taking anything but nyquil at night and dayquil during the day. they seem to be helping, with symptoms anyway.
and i don't feel nearly as horrid as i used to when i got a cold when i still smoked. (i'm telling myself that over and over because i've been so stressed/depressed lately that i have thought about smoking about 1 million times in the last month or so)
