Yesterday morning, Henry informed me that he was tired of walking to and from school.

:sigh:

It's only the 3rd week of school.

I took him yesterday since Mark was awake, but he had to walk today since Mark was sleeping.

There is NO WAY I'm waking Mark just to take Henry to school when Henry is perfectly capable of walking.

I did tell Henry we would come get him today.

I think part of the problem he's having is that it gets so hot in the afternoons.

Maybe in a few weeks, the weather will turn a bit.

Good afternoon.

Wow work was busy this morning!

Favorite chore? Washing and sweeping the floors. Instant gratification here

Mark is watching that new show, "The Fresh Beat Band".

The music is catchy at least.

As soon as it's over, we have to leave to get a decent parking place to wait for Henry.

40 stinkin' minutes before school dismisses.

And I have a devil of a time getting Mark to go pee-pee before we leave.

He thinks it's fun to stand beside my car while I hold up a blanket or jacket to block the view while he pees in someone's grass.

Blah.

I have a (fortunate) predicament.

My mom and dad have traditionally watched the girls on Wednesdays (which is good because Bill pretty much doesn't give me a break on the weekends, aside from cooking breakfast for us-he is usually at the farm at least one of the 2 weekend days and doing a project or work at our house the other).  But this year, they will both be in preschool wednesday mornings.  So by the time my parents pick them up, feed them lunch and put them down for naps (yes, they both still nap, though sometimes it is just quiet resting rather than sleeping), they won't get to spend much actual time with them.

So my mom and dad want to switch days and watch them Tuesdays or something.  They aren't that intersted in just babysitting sleeping kids-they want time to actually do things with the girls.  Which is fine, except that TTh is now *my* only time to get to spend with them and do fun things also! (though Fridays I will have with Kate whilst Anna is in school)  So I am not keen on switching to Tuesdays.  I mean, Anna will be in KINDERGARTEN next year, and I will basically only have evenings and weekends with her.  This was one of the big reasons that I didn't put her in the PreK class, because I am not ready to have her gone 5 days a week.

This leaves me and my mom at a standstill.  We left it as we would just play it by ear, but I know that won't work for either of us because we are planners.  Maybe we could do every other Tuesday they go with my mom and dad or something.

WWYD?

We got back from disneyland yesterday. We had a blast.

yesterday we stayed on a whim so we got a room at the Grand Californian. While convenient def not worth the money. The Grand Floridian (where we stayed for our honeymoon) was a lot nicer.

We didnt get back till 345 and had to head to church at 530 so it was a super busy day.

And today Im trying to unpack and do 8 million loads of laundry

It was also super nice to not have the computer as a distraction. IM sure a ton more would get done if I wasnt online as much as I am.

I think Im really going to try to cut down my computer time during the day.

Tracey, I am so glad you had fun.

I'm also with you on the computer thing.

I like that we are getting active here again but I really need less computer time. I'm hoping our move will help with that.

(i'm not sure why I choose to believe that - nothing else has helped) lmao

I just called Henry's friend to see if he could over for dinner since we're having spaghetti.

His mom said that they were busy but invited Henry over for dinner tomorrow night.

Henry is so excited.

It really is a monumental occasion because it is the first time that ANY of Henry's classmates have invited him for a playdate.

:crossfingers: :crossfingers: that 4th grade is the year he finally makes some friends.

I don't think he's picky since he eats way more stuff than I do, but it's really all relative.

JD's mom is foreign (Indian) so there's no telling what they'll eat. I imagine it will be something kid-friendly though.

Perhaps I should give him a big snack when he gets home from school.
