bennett makes me laugh. he's such a big kid now.

if you ask him to he will go find his binky, or his blanket and he comes running back holding it up all proud.

he also tries and is pretty successful with a fork and he sits in a booster seat at the table now.

i can't believe it!

yesterday i swear after we dropped mikey off at school bennett asked where he was.

he is too smart.

has e started school yet?

She started the afternoon preschool through the public school system.  Right now she seems to be liking it and is happy when I pick her up.  She is tired though.  The first day I didn't watch close enough and she fell asleep at 5.  I watch her like a hawk now.  I need to figure out what to do with her that is not too active but will keep her awake.

Are your two little one going now?  How is Jake liking hs?

Anyone here have any idea why my 9 month old little girl has not napped for I think we are going on day 5? She will still sleep through the night. She is so tired though and I do not know why she will not nap.

Good morning and I am amazed she goes that long without napping.  Does she take little five minute cat naps or something in the car or at home?

She was napping a solid 3 hours in the day and then just started this for the last week. She is so tired and you can see her fighting it. She sometimes falls asleep in the car on the way home, but not always. It is insane and I cannot imagine she is going to stop napping.

She has been teething FOREVER, but she did not stop sleeping when she cut the bottom two teeth.

Can you let her help you fix dinner? Sometimes I can distract Mark with that when he's tired.

But other times, he's such a beast that I wish he would just go to sleep at 5.

i'm glad she likes it. i know you said you weren't sure how it would work out.
did you decide to send her to both?  they do get tired though.

my little ones started yesterday. they both came home really happy.mikey told me he played basketball in the gym and caroline was very proud of her paper star hat.

jake is really liking hs so far. i can tell he feels like a really big deal. it's so cute. i made him show me his assignment notebook (planner) yesterday and he filled it out. he also did his homework very neatly so that was a change.

how's rick doing living on his own?

Oh boy!  For some awful reason it seems the more tired little ones get the harder it is to get them to sleep too.  Elizabeth sometimes was that way too but usually if I rocked her long enough or put her in her swing, or put her in her swing in the kitchen with the exhaust fan on, she would eventually fall asleep.  It's amazing the antics we go through to make a baby sleep.  No wonder moms are so tired!

i'm packing up my china today.

i don't have enough packing materials. boohiss.

i think i'll likely leave my fancy china packed up.

I feel like I'm going backwards in my life (house to apartment) but oddly, it's calming me not freaking me out.

though i am freaking out about listing the house. i love this house. i just don't love the commute.

That is so great that Mikey and Caroline are loving school!  I will cross my fingers that Jake keeps up his good school habits.  I am glad that the start of school is going pretty well for all of you.

I don't know for sure what we will end up doing with E.  Right now she will go to both schools.  We will have the meeting to discuss the extensive test results in a week.  After that, we can decide if we want to change anything.  I don't know if I said it or not, but the one thing we do know is that she does have a delay in her gross and fine motor skills.   She will be getting evaluated by an OT and PT in Sept.  Ugh!  I am glad we are able to get her the help she needs, but will be glad when all this testing and meetins are over.

As far as Rick goes, he is loving his new pad. giggle.gif  It's cute because despite moving out, he made it very clear he wants his little sister to come over and visit him. heart.gif

When Allie started last year it was brutal the time between dinner and bed. They start to adjust and get use to it though.

That is good to know.  That is also one of the hardest times of day for me too.  The good thing is that she is finally going to bed and falling asleep in a reasonable amount of time now.  I hope that doesn't change.

Morning!

Braydon still has a fever so it looks like another housebound day.  Ugh!!

I guess my favorite chore would be laundry.  Up to the putting away part.  I really hate that even though it really only takes 2 minutes.

I bought the storage things to put my china in.  It stays there very nicely.  In fact I am not sure I have ever used it. lmao.gif  I probably would but I have to go on an expedition to get it out so it stays packed.  I can see why you like your house so much.  I like it and I have only seen pictures.  But I also know how horrible that commute can be.  I did that when ds was in elementary school and hated it.  From the sounds of things apartment livng for you is not really a set back.  You will be a city girl once again. biggrin

i probably should start baking that pie since dan's on the early shift today.

it's only 8:30 though. i'm just not ready to really start doing anything.

i do wish my kids could have gotten morning school. i feel like i would have been so much more productive. now we basically hang around and wait for school since bennett is still napping in the morning.

i'm thinking i should encourage him to give up that morning nap soon so we can get out and run errands and have fun in the mornings. my only issue is his morning nap is his good one - afternoon is hit & miss. i think i'll just start having him wait a little longer in the morning to go down. right now it's about 2.5 hours after he gets up. maybe tomorrow i'll do 3 hours...

Did anybody read the end of Wednesday chatter?

I posted that somebody threw eggs at our house. (!)

Or perhaps there was a bizarre nest accident that resulted in 4 eggs being smashed and running down our garage door and the bricks on the side of our house.

The second scenario, although preferable, is highly unlikely since it wasn't stormy or windy or anything.

I just can't figure why someone would throw eggs at our house.

Did Mark offend someone? Henry?

I hosed it all off as soon as I saw it, and the smell went away by the end of the day.

That wasn't very nice.

There aren't even any teenagers around here, that I know about anyway.

Mark got in my bed about 2:30 or 3 this morning.

I carried him back to bed as usual.

Then I could NOT get back to sleep.

It was so frustrating.

I'm very sleepy now.

that is terrible!

i can't imagine it was personal. maybe it was just some punks going through the neighborhood. or idiots who got the wrong house.
