D-I love Coley-that is so cute that he said that to his uncle!!!!
Anna says things, but I always forget what she says that makes me laugh. What is funny to me about her is her attitude. She tries to act SOOOOOOO grown up about everything, and it just makes me laugh. She even tries to make expressions just like mine, but of course they are much more pronounced, and sometime not appropriate for what she is saying, lol.
Kate is the one who cracks me up when she says things. She says some funny things. I know I had mentioned that her hand me down furniture from her cousin has a lot of markings on it-nail polish, marker, scratches, etc. She didn't notice at first, but then later asked me who did this to her furniture. I told her her cousins did it. The next day, she got out of bed, crossed her little arms (with the full scowl on her face, and making sure to bring her crossed arms down in anger) and said, "Mommy, I am just so fwustwated with my cousins! They should NOT have done dis to my furnituwer!!" Her seriousness about it was just a hoot!!
I also think it is funny with her that you know EXACTLY when she is about to disobey what you tell her. If you tell her to do something or ask her to help or something, she will look at you and start with, "Welllllll....." You KNOW when you hear that that she is going to try and talk her way out of whatever it is you asked of her, lol.
I guess really the only funny thing of recently is the where babies come from- viruses. That had us rolling. Of course the thunder comment too- It was storming last week. Don't remember what day but we had a nasty storm roll through one evening and Colin wasn't listening and we had a big clap of thunder around that time and I said, "See what happens when you don't listen? Mommy thunders!" And he looked at me and said, "No, that's God farting."
I'm going to Hell for sure for that one.
We met Samson last night! OMG! He's huge! A big puppy! He's 10 months old! The family has had him since he was 3 months old. They can't keep him though they want to b/c they don't have the yard space for him. The husband is in love with this dog and has spent a lot of time training him. They *think* he's pure bred Saint Bernard but DH and I think he's actually more like a Saint Bernard/German Shepard or Saint Bernard/Gold Retriever Mix. The German Shepard part scares me b/c aggressive breeds like that terrify me. However he did marvelous with us all. He met us all and loved us all- especially Colin. And when Colin wasn't where Colin wasn't supposed to be, he barked at him until Colin was closer and then licked him in the face when he came back to us like he was saying, "Ok kid, you need to stay here and I'll be happy." He minded his master very well and knows several commands. He played with DH and I very well and seemed to like us. We are seriously considering him and if we do agree on him together as a family, we pick him up Friday!
Jennie- we have a GSD, in fact, his parents were police dogs. He can be aggressive with other dogs, but is not at ALL with me or my kids. And when I say aggressive, it is more of a protective stance - like he barks loud and aggressively, but stays where he is. My GSD is a pain in the a#$ since he is so big and we dont walk him enough, or train him enough, etc. (ETA: So, the fact that he is a pain is more that we are lazy than any problem that he brings) But, I feel sooooo safe when I am home alone with the kids or walking him iwth the kids or whatever.
GSDs are great dogs when trained and when they are well socialized. I suppose that can be said about most dogs, but seriously, I have never worried about my kids and my dog. Now my terrier mix is another story...
Juanita has one too and can weigh in... (I think, I will feel like an a$% if something hapened to her and Im not remembering right now...)
