Lea, that's what I expected the cost to be per cycle. I just got off the phone with the pharmacy and my rx wasn't covered (grumble, grumble) but the cost was less than I was expecting, so if it was something you wanted to look into, it's in a more affordable(ish) range.
Oh, and in interesting additional devine intervention/fate news, I let Joe know how much the rx was going to run us since it isn't covered, and it is almost exactly what we have currently in our health savings account. (I was horribly nervous that, being the frugal budgeter that he is, he was going to want to wait.) Sooooooo, it's on!!!!

Also, because of it's actual intended purpose, there is a chance that my insurance may cover it, and I'm hoping that is the case, or we'll be holding off on starting the cycle for a while, because it's insanely expensive if not. But I'll cross that bridge when I get to it, if I need to.

What great news! Congratulations, friend. :)
BTW, I would tell your doc that you are concerned about reimbursement for a drug that is for off-label use. There may be coding that makes it more insurance acceptable.
