Don't you just hate it that it takes moving to get you motivated to fix your place up? We did the same thing. Lived in our house for years, with a wish list of things we wanted to do. Decided to sell it, and finished up the wish list.
By the time we moved, everything looked so nice I didn't want to leave it!
I was JUST going to ask her if she felt that way, because I think that's how I'd feel too
Nope. lmao.
Mike feels that way. I'll be super sad to leave the house - i'd move it if I could - but I can't do the drive any more.
My dad and sister arrived last night around 9. I gave tammy ks bed and moved K to the toddler bed (after she was asleep) she started screaming at 1. I didnt hear her, my sister did. Oops. We normally dont shut our door when we sleep so I can hear them but my sister has a cat and I didnt want it on my bed esp since the baby was sleeping with us.

i've never heard of someone traveling WITH their cat.
Sounds like you are all having great days so far! I'm freezing my butt off, and wondering wtf is up with this summer.
gm
you live in bisconsin. summer there (and here) is a crapshoot. like all seasons.
(psyching myself up to move some day)
Now that George is working (yay!!), I have to mow the lawn. It NEEDS to be done today, but I'm stalling. At least the cool weather makes it a nice day to do that!
You need to psych yourself up to move out of the state, I need to psych myself up to move my butt to the barn to get the mower out. I've never used it, but George texted my instructions.
It will be interesting, watching me use the riding mower for the first time. It takes George 4 hours to mow the entire lawn; it will likely take me 3 days.
I'll report back.
i'm fascinated by your new country lifestyle. i still giggle that you have barns. kentucky roots never die i guess
what in the world will your kids do while you mow the huge ass lawn?
In KY, we lived in trailers or in the city. I'm WAY more country here than I was there, lol!
I was thinking of giving them the chore of picking up the apples in the orchard. The ground is literally covered in apples, and it's impossible to walk back there. We have these clawed scoopers on stick (we use to pick up dog doodoo), and they can clean them up that way.
I think cleaning up an acre of apples should keep them busy for awhile (and helps in the mowing of the grass, because then I'm not flining applesauce everywhere when I drive that thing through the orchards!)
i think your apple idea is genius. two birds, one stone.
i told dan to look into g's company. of course, print production is different from manufacturing/production so he kinda looked at me funny .... but i'm jealous of those benes. probably not jealous enough to move to wisconsin though.....

Well now, that's disappointing.
You should come visit me before you make a rush judgement about living up here.
I might even bake an apple/pear/plum pie for the occasion (using fruit from my own backyard, lmao!) Maybe that will convince you this is where you want to be.
Yesterday, I heard Josie yell, "I poopied" from the den. I went in to check - she always says poopied when she peed. but not this time. She pooped all over the floor.
And Charlie was sitting there watching her.
He tells on her for everything ("She's touching a book! She's touching the wall! She's looking at me" but he didn't say a word.
When I asked him why he didn't tell me, he said "It looked like chocolate candy"
