i was at the beach in the cape 2 weeks ago (about). so nice. i didnt lay out, or even wear a bathing suit, but my mom hung with cara while she napped at the house, and i walked down with R and climbed all over the rocks. soooo nice. i wish i had had my camera.

we have beaches around here, but it's expensive to park and always too hot. i 100% prefer our beaches in the fall and winter.

I'm great, Kelly. Busy, crazy, working, but great.

We had a bunch of people over last night (our really good friends, a friend who is visiting, and Cheri and her family). We went to the beach and it was amazing. We're seeing the waves from Hurricane Bill already and the surf was crazy. It was SO much fun to be in the huge waves. We don't normally get really big waves so we had a ball.

It was too rough for the kids to go in so they played in the sand.

How is life for you? What's new with the kids?

i've been to a beach in florida in february 04. it was cold and SUCKED.

i went to a beach in biloxi in summer 91 or 92.

and i've been to a beach on lake michigan in chicago in like 88.

that.is.it. sad, huh?

my little boys are still sleeping. mikey was up in the middle of the night complaining that his legs hurt. i'm hoping it was growing pains.

jake has a new student picnic at school today.

i think that the last time i went to the beach was last summer when i met my sister and her family there.

beaches aren't free here and i'm usually too cheap to pay to go sit at a supa crazy busy beach in the sun.

The only beach I've ever been to was in Biloxi, MS and that was when I was in high school.

Yes, Cheri from here. She said she is going to try to make it back to the board soon. She's been crazy all summer - she said she's had neverending company since the start of the summer. It was nice to see her (it was 90 degrees at her house and 65 degrees here so they took a last minute road trip to visit).

I've got to take Kenley to the ENT today, to get her medical clearance for her hearing aid.

We get it Monday.

We've already seen the ENT in April, but it took so long to get an appointment with the speech/hearing place, he won't write a script without looking at her again.

I wouldn't pay either. My favorite time at the beach is early morning or late afternoon. we normally go after supper and it is perfect. I hate crowds at the beach and don't like when it is too hot.

We had such a crappy June and July that the beaches are packed right now since we are having a lovely heat wave.

It was a mommies-only trip when Henry was about 2 years old, so 7 years ago.

I went to Florida with 3 girlfriends for a long weekend.

It was FABULOUS.

The last time I went to the beach- as in ocean beach- I was...........17.

The but there is the lake beach- we went last year. :) It has sand therefore I call it the lake beach. :)

I want to go back. I was so close when we went to Alabama but it was a 3 hr. drive and DH said no.

Ugh. I need to get my butt in gear. I've got an appt. with my endocrinologist at 11:15. I hate morning appts but b/c he's the one doctor that if you don't keep the appt you're lucky to get another one in 6 months, I have to keep it. He wanted to see me about 4-6weeks after have Ada (that's what I call her- actually I call her "girlfriend" most of the time) to make sure my levels are still normal. Loving my Hashimoto's.

Otherwise tomorrow we go check out the preschool- well, I go with the kids. First outing with the kids by myself! Yikes!

Good morning!

We went to the beach a couple of times last week (Lake Michigan). We actually had a really nice time, even though I'm still cleaning sand out of toys, clothes, suitcases, etc.

My son informed me last night after I asked him how babies were made that they came from viruses..

He said that that doctors put viruses in mommy's in tummy's and they grow into babies. Then they come out in lots of blood after the doctor cuts the mommy open to get the baby out. Then you, his words, "feed them, poop them, and pee them."

This child is going to be so ruined when he finds out the true miracle of life....And that no, dear child, not all babies are born via c-section.
