I won! I won!

(Second place, but whatever.) :yay!

Henry also got 2nd place in the kids' decorated cakes category. :cheer

Mark didn't win anything but I gave him my ribbon since Henry had one, so he thinks he won too.

Woo-hoo!!

Yay, Robin! WTG! (you and Henry both, nice!)

Thanks!

I'm proud.

My cake was pretty yummy. I got to eat some of it after the judging.

Although his cake didn't win an award, Mark's cake was eaten the fastest at the church picnic.

He made a french vanilla cake with strawberry frosting and and ENTIRE bottle of star-shaped sprinkles.

I'm at my parents' house.

I took my nephew to the picnic with us, so I borrowed the booster seat from my mom's car.

We brought it back, and Henry wanted to stay and practice the piano.

My mom isn't here.

Mark is watching SpongeBob.

Sadly, I have started almost enjoying Spongebob Squarepants.

I even have a favorite episode.

I love the episode during which Spongebob gets teased because his grandmother kisses him.

I'm so sad that my camera is missing.

I would have loved to have pictures of us making and decorating the cakes.

And of course then I'd have pictures of the finished products.

Did I already describe them??

Henry's cake was french vanilla with cream cheese frosting, then I colored some of the frosting blue and he made a border with that.

I colored the remainder of the frosting green, and Henry wrote "God is good" in the middle of the cake.

He sprinkled a very few sprinkle dots around it.

Mark's cake was funfetti (white with colorful sprinkles throughout the mix) with strawberry frosting.

You couldn't actually see the frosting because he covered the entire top of his cake with a whole bottle of star-shaped sprinkles.
