also, i'm in the process of priming my kitchen now. :shoothead
it's hateful.
i painted my cabinet doors but now the paint is coming off - and it is too white. i am going to have to strip them (shoot me) and do it again. plus i still have to do behind the doors.
but really, i don't hate painting as much as I hate taping. i'd pay someone big money to tape.
Wow, Sonya! What a change. It is amazing what a new coat of paint can do for a room. It's been 10 years since we painted most of our house and every room needs to be repainted. Do you charge by the hour, lol!?!?
BTW, I thought I read in one of the other threads that you are hoping to move into an apartment? Are you trying to sell your house? I think I missed the details.
That's amazing. It's like a completely different house. I knew you were close to the water. I had NO idea you were THAT close. That view is incredible. If someone doesn't scoop it up immediately, I'd be hella surprised.
You did a great job, and I love the colors you chose. I'm considering packing up and hauling ass to Canada... if it wasn't for all that talk about chopping wood and the snowy drives around, lol.

It looks great! And I think the bathroom changes (though small) make a huge impact! The new lights fixtures are much nicer!
Random thing - I notice you have slipcovers on your couches very similar to my friends. I read this trick (or heard it, IDR) about rolling up a magazine and putting it down the side to keep the slipcovers from coming out and having to be fixed all the time. Just in case that might help. She was forever having to fix them with her kids on them all the time.
For those who missed it, we are almost positve we are moving into a housing co-op in the city. It is walking distance to everything, our works, the daycare, grocery stores, coffee shops, some of the best schools in the city.
We will list our house asap but if it doesn't sell right away, we can cover the rent and the house.
The apartment is great. The second floor of a two floor house. Two real bedrooms and one bedroom with the stairs to the attic. The attic is a walk up and has two giant rooms(low ceilings) where the kids can play. Fenced back yard.

oh my gosh. good luck sonya! i cannot wait to hear the news!
Sonya painting has made a huge difference. It's amazing how a coat of paint can make a house looks fresh and new. I agree that changing the lights in the bathroom made a big difference too. I have to say I love the color of the den because with the view of the water, it makes it feel like the water is right where you are standing. You have done a fantastic job!
