April - I'm envious of your fabulous evening. I'd love to go out to the lake on a boat with the family. I hope you are enjoying it tons!

I'm going to dinner with the girls from my Sunday school class.

Claudia, whose house is where I went swimming today, isn't going because she doesn't have a babysitter.

I offered to watch her kids so she could go instead of me but she said no.

I really wouldn't have minded; I go out pretty often.

She said that another family from our class was going to her house for the evening instead of going to the dinner because of financial reasons.

I wouldn't mind going to hang out with them instead.

Glen and the boys are going to get a pizza.

DH is fishing.

Little John went to see Nickelback with my SIL.

I'm home with the little people.  we just got done painting - which resulted in immediate baths.

Now they are building with legos and I'm making spagetti.

It's so much easier to cook for 3 people - 2 of whom do not eat biggrin

Good Morning!

:wave

What is everyone up to today?

I'm painting (blah) so Mike is entertaining the kids. I'm not sure whether to envy him or ....

Good morning!

I'm not sure what we are doing today. We spent yesterday doing laundry, grocery shopping, and getting back into the routine of being home.

It's super hot and humid, so we might go over to the lake and swim for awhile. My dog is kind of stinky, so that would at least solve one problem.

Sonya, I think I read somewhere that you are moving.

Can you please re-tell the story so I don't have to search through a dozen threads to find it?? I know I'm a slacker, but I'd love to hear details!!

So we had the best time downtown this week. The kids all got along so well, and we never preplanned anything, so it was not stressful at all.

We didn't do much; spent most of our time either at the beach or at Millenium Park, or hanging at the hotel pool, but man, it was great. This thing was so neat:

And I have to say, the Four Seasons is SUPER kid friendly. They did something special everyday for the kids, and brought up mini ice cream cakes for Dani and Juliette because we were celebrating birthdays. We also requested the ice cream man, who came up at night and each kid got to pick a flavor and toppings-they loved it!

One quick funny story from our trip.

We were at the beach (Oak St, for those who know Chicago beaches) watching the planes practice for the air and water show, and just playing in the sand and swimming. My nephew Harry (who will be 4 in Oct), came and told my sister he had to go pee. She said ok, and told him to wait a minute while she got her cover up on.

About 30 sec later, we notice Harry standing at the edge of the very crowded beach, where he had pulled out his winker and started peeing in the surf. Everyone was watching him, and running out of the water.

He came running back, yelling "I peed in the lake! You don't need to get up, mom, I'm all done!"

Holy crap, we couldn't stop laughing (even though it was highly inappropriate!)

That really does sound like a nice time! :) How great about the Four Seasons! I had no idea they were so kid friendly.
