So we had the best time downtown this week. The kids all got along so well, and we never preplanned anything, so it was not stressful at all.
We didn't do much; spent most of our time either at the beach or at Millenium Park, or hanging at the hotel pool, but man, it was great. This thing was so neat:
And I have to say, the Four Seasons is SUPER kid friendly. They did something special everyday for the kids, and brought up mini ice cream cakes for Dani and Juliette because we were celebrating birthdays. We also requested the ice cream man, who came up at night and each kid got to pick a flavor and toppings-they loved it!
We were at the beach (Oak St, for those who know Chicago beaches) watching the planes practice for the air and water show, and just playing in the sand and swimming. My nephew Harry (who will be 4 in Oct), came and told my sister he had to go pee. She said ok, and told him to wait a minute while she got her cover up on.
About 30 sec later, we notice Harry standing at the edge of the very crowded beach, where he had pulled out his winker and started peeing in the surf. Everyone was watching him, and running out of the water.
He came running back, yelling "I peed in the lake! You don't need to get up, mom, I'm all done!"
Holy crap, we couldn't stop laughing (even though it was highly inappropriate!)

That really does sound like a nice time! :) How great about the Four Seasons! I had no idea they were so kid friendly.
