I never really told y'all about my trip to Nashville the other weekend.
Kimberly and I went for a girls' weekend, and we stayed at the Opryland Hotel.
The place was GORGEOUS, and everytime I saw anything I would think how much Henry (and sometimes Mark) would love it.
We left here about 9:00 a.m. Friday morning and were not even one hour into our trip when Kimberly's car--I was driving--started wobbling back and forth so badly I couldn't control it. We got to the shoulder of the interstate, and her back passenger-side tire was completely destroyed. We didn't see that we ran over anything but something chopped it up. She called OnStar, who said they'd be there in about an hour. Ugh.
We got out and stood beside the car to wait. Some nice man (with his kids in the car) stopped to change our tire while we waited for OnStar. Then he left, and we got in the car to go.
It wouldn't start.
I hadn't turned the keys all the way off or taken them out so the battery was dead. Kimberly called OnStar again. Sigh. Then a (REALLY cute and young) highway patrol officer stopped and jump-started us.
So we had to stop in Jackson to get the other tired checked and to buy a new tire.
We FINALLY got to Nashville 3 hours or so late but we weren't in a hurry so all was well.
The rest of the weekend was completely uneventful.
Kimberly had made a deal with me beforehand that she would pay for some stuff if I would go to the spa with her.
So we got Swedish massages.
It was HEAVENLY.
Now I'm thinking I'll save my money and take my kids there during their Fall Break.
Question for today- What is the very worst thing you ever did to your hair?
omg...so funny that you brought this up...I was just thinking of the time I had my hair professionally colored but HATED it and was so stupid that instead of going back to have the girl try and fix it, I went to Walgreens and ended up spending hundreds of dollars to get a different color (I used the color remover also, which didn't work). I looked like ronald mcdonald...I am not kiddding either! (oh and the reason I know I looked like Ronald McDonald is that when I was coming up the steps, Andrew told me I did...lol) He was like 5 years old at the time and as we all know, kids can be brutally honest ;)

The worst thing I've ever done to my hair was in 7th grade and got bangs cut for the first time. With my curls they curled up WAY to short so they were off the top of my head. (kinda hard to explain.)
I went to school early and had my friend meet me to come up with a solution.
ooh...actually, I guess what was a close tie was the time my aunt took me to get my hair cut at the salon and they cut my hair in a shag. I came home and took a shower and when I got out, I didn't understand why my hair was all uneven so I decided to cut it myself to even it out...lol I ended up cutting most of my hair off. It was horrible - I ended up with a bowl haircut up to my ears. (I was 10 at the time and never again cut my own haiir)
perms in elementary school, complete with bangs that went all the way back to the middle of my head
shaved the underside of my head
cut it to look like Uma Thurman's in Pulp Fiction and died it darker
the most recent hair cut I got that I'm still growing out. I was able to do it well one time the day after then never again. And that only stayed that way for 10 minutes.
OMG YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What happened? When will you know? I'm so excited for you and your family!!!
I got a call at 1:30 for an interview tonight at 6:30 (a lot of warning, no? lmao).
We went, talked, told them we may be interested in both apartments, interviewed for both. Went to see the other apartment. It was too small, etc.
Called back the committee and said "too small and thank you for interviewing us but we understand if you pick the other couple for Pepperell." she said, that is what we thought and we are goign to offer you Pepperell. YAY!
It just has to go to the general membership and get approval.
